THE TRAINING BEGINS
THE TRAINING BEGINS
Shadow was in the tree for about an hour or so before Crystal, Pearl and Rain came by saying "sorry about making fun of you Shadow, now just come down." "No!" Shadow yelled at them still very angry. "Why not?" asked Pearl, "because I don't feel like coming down!" yelled Shadow. "Are you to embarrased about liking Silver?" asked Rain sarcasticly. Shadow then jumped down from the tree landing directly on Rain knocking the wind out of him. "I don't like him!" snapped Shadow being totally serious and glaring down at Rain. Then she jumped back into the tree leaving Rain winded. "Now just leave me alone!" She yelled at them, "ok, just calm down Shadow" said Pearl who was helping Rain up. Soon it started to get dark and Shadow still hasn't come down from the tree. Then Crystal came out with some food for Shadow. "Here Shadow, I brough you something to eat so you don't starve" said Crystal. Shadow jumped out of the tree and took the food and then went back into the tree without a word still angry. "Are you ever going to talk to me again Shadow?" asked Crystal. Shadow gave her a glare telling her to back off. So Crystal went back to the campfire and sat down next to Pearl saying "we need to do something to help Shadow feel better, or atleast get her out of the tree." "Ya" agreed Pearl, "but the question is what?"
Then her and Crystal sat there thinking about it for awhile. "Well I have an idea to get her out of the tree" said Pearl. "What is it?!" asked Crystal eagerly, "what if we leave? Then she will most likely come out to come with us since I'm sure she wouldn't want to be left all alone" said Pearl. "Good idea Pearl, we'll leave as soon as possible" said Crystal, "so lets put out the fire." Everyone started to get ready for departure and put out the campfire. Now they were all ready, Crystal went over to the tree Shadow was in and called out, "we're leaving Shadow, unless you want to be all alone you might want to come down" But Shadow remaind still and silent, not even glancing down at Crystal as if she wasn't there. Then they all left in search of a new camp spot. "Lets not go to far so when she's ready to get out from the tree she can find us" whispered Crystal. When they found a new camp spot they dug a small fire pit, threw in some wood and started a small fire. Soon they we're all asleep. Shadow finally decided to come out of the tree but she didn't want to find everyone else. she wanted to try to become a half-dragon again. Problem is Shadow didn't know how, suddenly she heard something coming from behind her.
She quickly turned around to see Silver standing there. "So you finally decided to come down" he said. "Whats it to ya?" Shadow replied still a bit mad, "you trying to become half-dragon?" Silver asked. "Uh... i suppose" she said, "let me guess, you don't know how? do you?" he asked moving up to Shadow. "Um... ya, pretty much" she said, "need help?" Silver asked in a friendly tone. "I guess," said Shadow, "ok, first of all to transform into a half-dragon you have to concentrate" said Silver. "Ok" said Shadow sitting down. She started to concentrate on becoming a half-dragon again and about ten or fifteen minutes later she felt that weird feeling like when she first transformed. Shadow opened her eyes and she looked at herself and she had transformed! "That was easier then I thought it would be," she said happily. Then she looked over at Silver who was also in his half-dragon form. He had silvery scales, long black claws, and blue eyes. "Nice job, now lets start with flying," said Silver. "Ok," said Shadow now in a happier mood than before, forgetting about what Rain, Pearl, and Crystal said to her earlier. "Watch what I do Shadow," said Silver. He took a few big steps and then jumped up into the air flapping his wings and was flying.
"Now you try" he said, so Shadow did the same thing, a few big steps and then jumped up. She fell to the ground, she was disapointed, "this is harder than i thought..." thought Shadow. So she tried again and again, but continued to fail. "This is hard..." said Shadow, "don't worry about it, you'll get it eventually," said Silver. "Try relaxing," he said. "Don't think it'll help much, but ok..." thought Shadow. So she took a deep breath, closed her eyes, took a few big steps, then jumped in the air. Shadow didn't feel herself falling, so she opened her eyes and was finally flying. "Hey! I'm flying!" exclaimed Shadow as she soared throught the air. "This is lots of fun just flying around," said Shadow enjoying herself immensly. "Ya it is pretty fun," said Silver, "wanna have a race?" "Sure, first one into the spring wins, ready set... go!" said Shadow shooting down towards the spring like a black bullet with Silver in her wake. But then Silver caught up with Shadow and then they both hit the water with a huge splash. They came up to the surface both laughing, "that was fun!" said Shadow. "Yup," said Silver, "so do you want to learn how to breath fire?" "Ya!" said Shadow excitedly, "ok, so what you do is take a deep breath and..." said Silver breathing a flame of fire. "Ok" said Shadow, she took in a deep breath and then breathed out steadily, breathing out fire.
"Cool!" said Shadow happy with herself, "wow, you learned that fast," said Silver impressed with Shadow. "Thanks," said Shadow lightly blushing at the compliment. So for the rest of the night Shadow and Silver flew around and breathed fire. Soon the sun started coming up, and they were both pretty worn out. So they both turned back into their human forms, and passed out under a tree. But what they didn't know was that Crystal, Pearl, and Rain were watching them the whole time... (to be continued...)
