The story: Young Akari gets mixed up in some haunted house mishap and ends up in another world. It's like her own home, except full of darkness and slowly crumbling away. However, somehow she finds herself in the company of a few odd-ball demons. Now she has to not only find a way home, but put up with a bunch of demons, and someone live long enough to find a way home! As if life wasn't hard enough.

Akari Itsumo
17 years old, human.
She has curly red hair and blue eyes; she is only average height.
Akari lives with her father in a rural town. She has a few close friends and attends the local high school. One night, she and her friend sneak into an old abandoned house. Inside, she meets a poor wondering soul who brings her to her world after pleading for help. When she wakes up, she knows she's not in her town anymore! Oh well, it's better than nothing.
Akari has a bright and cheerful personality, although she doesn't really like putting up with funny stuff. She isn't afraid to punch someone in the face if they're irritating her enough.
She likes sweatshirts and jeans while she hates bad cooking. Otherwise she doesn't really like or dislike anything that much.


Akai Honoo
About 19 years old, fire demon
He has long red hair that he wears tied at his neck, but he wears it down if the mood suits him. His hair only goes a little past his shoulders. He also has orange eyes, and three red stripes on the right side of his face stretching from his jaw to almost his nose. He wears summer clothes, even in winter.
He doesn't say much about himself concerning his past. He's always lived in his world, fighting to survive.
He is flaymboyant and stubborn. He enjoys pissing people off and is always bitterly sarcastic. He is usually the one to start a fight, and usually does not care about his own welfare. He is actually loyal, dispite everything else in his personality.
He likes cute girls and swords. He dislikes any form of water (he doesn't mind drinking it) and Akari.
Akai is afraid of cars (or rather would be if he was ever on Earth)
He has the power over fire and he is an adept swordsman.

Aoi Kaigen
Like Akai, he is also 19. He is a berserker.
*A berserker is a modified being. Under certain conditions, the berserker will go into a murderous rampage and destroy every living thing on a battlefield until nothing remains; often pushing past the limit and dying in the process. A living weapon.
Aoi is tall and slim, but is still a few inches shorter than Akai. He has green eyes and light blue hair that reaches to his jaw. He is pale and femine looking; he has a similar tattoo to Akai's, only it is on the left side of his face and blue.
Aoi only remembers seeing Akai for the first time, and being covered in blood. Since then, he has stayed with Akai; it has been 9 years since the two have met. Akai and Aoi have a very close relationship; even if Akai torments his companion.
Aoi is soft and compassionate while he is capable of flying into a rage. He is very loyal to Akai, and trustworthy.
Aoi likes seaweed and frogs he dislikes birds and chilis (the food).
