I created this for my 7th grade English class and I liked it so much that I wanted to keep it. ^-^ Enjoy!

Paths Crossed Once More

Lost in the darkness,
Unable to find the way.
But a boy was there
To lead me into the light…
To guide me to my way home.

Ever since that day
I have wondered who he was.
I’ve dreamt of the day
That our paths may cross again…
Just want them to cross once more…

The gift he left me
Before he vanished from sight
Never left my hand.
I’ve wished for that day to come,
That our paths could cross once more…

Many years have passed
Since he led me home that day.
Sadly, as time passed,
Memories began to blur…
But, yet my wish stayed strong.

Those dreams and wishes
Were not needed anymore,
Both were coming true.
Memories began to clear…
Our paths were crossed one more time…

He remembered, too,
That day many years ago.
We felt it was there;
The memory of that day…
We both just couldn’t find it.

Memories have cleared,
So that we could understand
The truth of that day…
Both of our identities
Were no longer mysteries.

Paths have crossed once more…
Love kept us from forgetting…
No longer two paths,
But now combined into one..
For us to walk together…

And to keep walking…
With each other forever
