I'm disliking AT&T at the moment... They took over a smaller phone company and its been giving us nothing but problems for over a week. Every couple of hours the internet will stop working for anywhere between 2-7 hours! I know they wanted to come to here so that we could use the iPhone, but how hard would it be to notify somebody that there will be extensive internet problems?
This problem with AT&T coupled with me getting kicked off the computer every time I try to get on has made me a very unhappy person. Every time I would turn on my computer, after warning everyone that I was getting on the internet, I would hear lots of complaining. I swear to you these teenage boys that live here whine worse than little kids. I, having to deal with their whining on a regular basis already, would kindly let them play for a bit before I tried again to get back on the computer. NO! Once again I would hear that complaint "I'm in the middle of a game , can't you get on later?" When will they grow up?
Things have calmed down a lot in the past 2 or so days though. No longer do I hear the whine of pubescent teenaged boy turned child when I get on the internet, this is probably due to the fact that the internet is almost returned to normal.
Now for my rant on holidays. Its not that I dislike holidays, I dislike being the only festive one, or the only one with holiday spirit/cheer. My mom thinks that the holidays are a waste of time, my older sister is stressed out thinking that if she doesn't buy us extravagant gifts we won't like her; I'm fine with a "Merry Christmas" and a hug for crying out loud! My two younger siblings want nothing more than to open their presents, its like pulling teeth to try to get them to think of anyone besides themselves. Last but not least, my dad... Where to start with him? He hasn't really been there for the holiday SEASON in many many years. He comes around on Christmas eve, and Christmas day, but other than that we don't really see him during the holidays. He's been trying for the past year or so to try to get closer to us kids, but this holiday season he hasn't been around, but he has a very good excuse... He's on third party (HA BIOTCH! NOW YOU KNOW HOW IT FEELS! DON'T LIKE IT DO YA? NOT FUN AT ALL IS IT? BOOM BABY!!! *cough*) for one of his friends, so he has to be over there most of the time. Holiday cheer isn't my only problem, I have gift wrap all over my room because mine is "the only private room with a closing, locking door" WTF?! My room is friggen P-U-B-L-I-C, I have a decent computer that connects to the 'net, of course everyone is going to be in here all the time. As for the "closing, locking door" part, my door NEVER closes. NEVER! Whatever, I can cope.
I also have problems with New Years... For the past 5-6 years I have sent New Years alone. I'll go to my friend's house to exchange pleasantries, come home and everyone's gone. Its not like they don't know her number, its been the same for the past 12 years!! The only reason I don't stay at her house for the fireworks is because I want to spend time with you! This year I'm hoping to stay home, with my family, and get smashed. Well, maybe not that drunk, but I'd at least like to have a few mild drinks to welcome in the new year. ...Maybe this year I can have a party and combine both family and friends... Gaia you have given me an idea. To think, that never occurred to me until I typed out my annoyances...
Well, I feel a little bit better now that I've gotten that off my chest.
