Chapter 2
Sweet dreams…
Late at night Kenoko got up and walked out to the pond. She released the ninjutsu hiding her own set of ears and tail, as she did every night. Kenoko walked out to the center of the pond to practice.
Syri’s dreams were filled with demons of every kind but on seemed more familiar than the rest…
Later when Kenoko came back from the pond, Syri made a hand sign that gets rid of illusions. Kenoko spun around, her tail wrapping around her legs in a quick graceful motion. Kenoko blinked in surprise to see Syri smiling. Syri said nothing- just smiled.
The moment Kenoko realized she had been discovered she replaced the illusion with her own hand sign hiding her fox-like features. She gave Syri a furious frown. But secretly was impressed.
Syri felt so different than earlier. She felt s smart that she was totally and utterly right. Kenoko on the other hand had tried to pretend that that had not just happened. As she took out a new set of clothes for Syri and herself she decided to tell Syri her-their story of why she was here.
