Chapter 79 of FMA came out this last week, and believe me, I never saw it coming.
---------------------------------------------
The story has strayed a bit from Ed, being critically injured and all, it has focused more on Marcoh, Scar, the little girl (whose name escapes me) and Alphonse. They've been residing in an Ishvaran camp with two chimera soldiers of Kimblee. In 78, they had contacted Envy, telling them their location leading me to assume that all was going to be lost.
That, however, was not the case. It seems as though it was a trap, leading Envy into a series of "land mine" alchemy traps which were actually activated by the little girl from a hidden distance. This led to tick Envy off and reveal his true form (which has been seen in the chapters around the 60s). He knocked Scar unconcious and captured Marcoh with his tongue (which is disgusting being made out of heads and all). Marcoh starts monlogue about how using humans for the Philosopher's Stone is wrong, but then is contradicted by Envy, who states how many Stones Marcoh has made. Marcoh agrees, but then says "Yes, I know about the Philosopher's Stone more than anyone. And when you know how to make something, you know how to destroy it!" Thus revealing alchemy circles on his palms (like Kimblee) and attacked Envy with it, destroying him.
Envy's destruction shows his real form, a freaky fetus thing that talks. The chapter ends nicely there.
All that's left now is Greed, Pride, Wrath and Sloth. Sloth finally finishing the alchemy circle underground, leading to what might be the end of Amestris.
