i love pirates as much as the next person does. pirates aren't all about like your jhonnny depp pirates and sterotypes like that. here are some little facts on some pirate stuff.
november 22,1718 black beard was killed.
may 23, 1701 captain William kidd hanged at the excution dock in london.
each pirate had to sign an agreement called "articles" before they joined. (many were forced to ve pirated when the buccaneers captured their ships) this paper detailed how much they will be payed. behaviot was expected though(no gambling, no fighting except on land, and no stealing) punish ments for breaking the rules applied.
-for breaking the rules speeled out in the articles, a pirate would ve marroned with a flagon of water (water bottle) and a pistol, tp survive or die. because most of the carribean islands were just spits of sand.
-there was a fine line between pirate and privateer.
-privateers were pretty much pirates that served a king or a queen.
pirates didn't make you "walk the plank" that was just a stero type for you all.
