Half way through buying a roll for tea yesterday there was a massive brown out of the shopping complex.... Made me very glad I'd already been to Audi's to buy stuff cause the only places with power to the cash registers was Coles, K mart and Safeway. Every other shop (except for the ones under the skylight near the escalators) was turned from bright and inviting to black, pits of darkness... most of them shut early and it was still dim and darknes by the time I left, half an hour later. Apparently the cinema complex next door also lost power... that would be a whole lot of REALLY p.o.ed movie goers.

My cute and younger sibling was quite unhappy as her week had been pretty sucky. She went to 2 concerts which was fine... except that she got her period so the friend that went with her was propping her up for the majority of the last hour... concert number 1 went for 3... and she was dead the next day. (only worked for half a day)
similar vibe following concert number 2. And the she rocks up to work to discover one of her colleagues has had a stroke... and he did all the hard stuff. Medical books ans such and no one has been trained up to do his job. (not very bright in my opinion... no on is indispensable after all. razz )
Then some gonif at Safeway complained about her cause she wasn't happy and smiley and she didn't read out the tally of the docket...never mind the she was miserable, felt like crap, in pain and waiting for the panadole to kick in.
Still, 'the customer is always right...' my but they are. razz

my day was tiring more than anything... it was really warm and my back still hurt from the 1st aid thing the day before.... twingy, twingy stabby stab stab... confused
still, i got pretty much all the groceries and got them all home without incident.
so yay for me. ^_^
