Gah! I haven't written in this Journal in ages! I had been planning to write every day, but I'm just not good at keeping plans like that.
The first subject I must adress is my avatar. You may note the beak. This is because I'm planning to make a 'were-gryphon.' Other necessary accessories include cat tail, cat ears, cat paw boots, and something resembling wings. I may also get a new hairstyle, but that is neither here nor there.
The second subject is my unrelenting obsession with Dragonriders of Pern. Here's how bad it is - I watched the Fantastic Four the other day. Great movie, by the way, but then, I'm secretly a sucker for superheroe movies. So I'm thinking about it, and sure enough, a few minutes later, comes the thought...
What if that had happened on Pern?
Here's my thinking. Traveling slower then light, it probably took the cosmic storm a couple of millenia to reach the Rukbat system. Is it totally inconceivable that it might have struck after the Pernese had rediscovered their history? Or even while several dragons and their riders were on a ship? After all, only two of the spaceships were trashed after the Red Star project. One remained.
So. Weyrwoman Suedan of Gold Virith, Weyrleader V'tor of Bronze Vondoth, B'en of Brown Grith, J'ny (the Weyrwoman's brother) of Blue Fireth, and R'eed of Green Fantath were doing maintenance work on the ship when the cosmic storm struck. After that, it's pretty much the same story. R'eed was in love with the Weyrwoman, and they had been quite close before Impression, but he knew this wouldn't be reciprocated now because he rode a green, she a gold. She's currently with V'tor, who is generally hailed as much cooler. J'ny, riding a blue, is naturally a shameless flirt, while B'en, with his loyal brown, is happily settled.
Powers are essentially the same as in the original - except the dragons gain them too. J'ny - I can create fire... and fly! Fireth - So can... wait a minute. All dragons can create fire and fly. How does this help my life?
Then the same story ensues. V'tor tries to take over Pern. R'eed tries to create a machine that will reverse it. Yada yada. Just imagine the Fantastic Four - but with dragons!
As I was saying, this proves I'm weird. Something similar happened after reading Tokyo Mew Mew - I was thinking about it, then the little lightbulb popped up and my mind went, Hey! What if that happened on Pern?
Did I forget to mention? I now own my very first manga, Tokyo Mew Mew. Actually, it's kind of mine and my sisters, which is why it had to be pretty innocent and cutsie. Except for some odd reason I'm paying for it...
I can't think of any other topics that need adressing right now, except for the fact that I really need to start typing my Secrets of Droon fanfiction. So I guess I'll attempt an entry in the Gryphon Chronicals.

Life is good. In a few months, school will be halfway over.
Well. In about half a school year, anyway.
I'm going to start a H.E.Armit fan club. Heliss says she might join. Victor says he'll help me.
I have to ask that really cute boy, Bryan, if he reads the Gryphon books. No, that might not be smart.
Current mood: biggrin
Song: I don't have one, but I'm thinking something like 'Blue Skies.' Something less depressing then the stuff on the radio. I like it, but it's all about breaking up.
