A poem by Zoe Curzi
Fly away, to the peak
Of a world where they speak
Of sugar clouds resting
On marshmallow heaps
Journey far, to a land
With purple-blue sand
Where king mountains tower
And all things are grand
Find a way to a place
Where everything’s space
And everyone stares
At the queen in her grace
With daisies forever
And fairies so clever
With cool, sparkling dust
They achieve their endeavor
Find a heart, in a time
When hearts are divine
And those that are beating
Are forever entwined
Sleep on cool, lively grass
As warm night does pass
Where are my troubles?
Is what you will ask
Sing songs under cover
Of deep, soulful weather
And under the bridge
You will see a bright feather
Of all the times that might have been
And the battles you are yet to win
The beauty’s in a single choice
To hoist the sail and risk the wind.
