The past is made
Of lies and bullshit,
And the people there
Are just as bad as it.
The promises broken,
The cruel words spoken,
The tears that fell,
And left me like an empty shell.
I hate the past,
But the memories seem to last
Forever in my mind.
I wish I could just leave it all behind.
But, here I stay stuck,
Back in the dark scattered with trees.
Hopefully, with some luck
I can escape from these woods howling in the breeze.
With a quiet sob
