My Views on Life, the Universe, and Everything: the answer really is 42

I don't really like the terms good/evil. These are often only perceptions and social ideals. I do like morals and character, and the choices people make to live as they want, compromised with the give and take of society to enable harmonious living between humanity.

Balance/moderation in everything is the key to a healthy life.

Materialistic things fade, people change and life tends to get in the way of my plans. There is a greater sense of being than the one I'm currently in, an enlightened way of living that is more of a never-ending journey than a goal, and I intend to find that path one day.

Forgive others, forgive yourself. Life is too short to hold grudges.

Help others. The world needs more light.

Know what matters to you, and be open to changing your mind. It can be anything, as long as you have an idea.

Chivalry isn't dead. I yearn for a classier time.

One should find a sense of personal motivation within his/herself, and not be dependent on anything or anyone for his/her personal happiness. This does not mean limit human ties or being apathetic, I believe in loving completely and openly, in mourning our losses, and having empathy. It simply means having the strength to find happiness separate from the interactions with others, or to pull away when those who have an overall negative impact on your own life, intentional or indirectly, even if they are people you love.

Emotions are not a weakness, and people are entitled to their feelings. However, some people just need to lighten up, and cut out the drama. Examples are people who say that their world is over because they didn't get the right car for their birthday, or who say they personally are going through hard times when their cousin's dog dies. I will play a sad song on the world's smallest violin for you, after I'm done laughing.

Be grateful to the people who have your best interests at heart, and let the people you love know you love them.

I am much more concerned with the world of here and now than of faith and afterlife. I'd be happy to share my religious views with anyone interested in
actual conversation, but if you only want to help me find salvation, I will pray to the flying spaghetti monster to eat you.

There is great power in positive thinking.

This journal is a place for me to write my thoughts. However, if I know you, or even if you are just some person who stumbled across my journal, I care what you think, feel free to leave whatever comment you wish.
