Ruth complained all year that nothing bad or exciting ever happened at our school. It just so happened that on the only day she's absent, everything happens. (This was all yesterday.) The only thing planned out of all this was the tornado drill:

Middle of 2nd period- Stop test and go into hall for tornado drill then come back a few minutes later.
Changing classes after 2nd- Lockdown. Construction guy at the high school asked student if there was a bathroom inside he could use. Student said no. Guy goes in anyways and both middle and high school go into lockdown.
Sometime during the day- Kid faints in health room.
End of 3rd period- Mrs. Beshears asks Mrs. Bollinger to come for a second. Mrs. Bollinger runs out the door then runs back in followed by the resource officer, vice principal, and principal. Katie Tate's mom comes in minutes later because Katie fainted. Doors to Mrs. Beshears' classroom are shut and the whole Cool Cat team (my team) is asked to be silent for the rest of the period. Forth period is canceled and we go outside.

Funny thing is, it didn't stop there. Katie Tate didn't come back to school today and..... Apparently while I was at home alone when my mom left to go pick up my brother from track practice, a black guy was watching our house and I didn't know it. (Thankfully my neighbor was in his doorway watching the guy with his girlfriend, so I was safe.......)

Weird..... Apparently, it's a bad thing for Ruth not to come to school. We got jinxed B-A-D. stare
