I read something on myyearbook.com about bullying. I know this seems very random to post this, and I know that many people won't see this... But I figured I would post it anyway.
Are you, or have you ever been bullied? I'm sure you have. It happens to everyone. It also happens for the most idiotic reasons. You're a poet, you love to draw, you speak properly, your name sounds odd. There are many reasons people bully. Most of the time it's because they're looking for someone else to blame. Looking for someone to take their aggression out on. Reading the post on myyearbook.com (post seen here: MyYearbook Bullies post) brought back some old memories (as well as newer ones).
When I was in elementary school, the kids called me "Wolfie" because my last name was Wolfe. I came to terms with it and hit them back by calling myself "Wolfie." This soon became my nickname between my friends and I as well as a preferred name. When that stopped working, they called me fat. I still am and I still get that comment. "Fat b***h" they say. Who cares? Now when they say that I usually say "No s**t! It's like a finger trampoline!"
Bullying, once you get older, is easy to get passed. I am now a senior in high school, I'm still bullied. For being bi, for being fat, for being ugly, for hanging out with the wrong people, for using proper grammar. What? I no longer care.

Shut the hell up.
It's high school now, bullying is a thing of the past. That's a lie. Peter and Igor R., who aren't very likely to see this, are bullies. Bullies who use religion to justify their bullying, to justify their stand against the homosexual "group" in my school. To show that you don't always have to fight back with fists, or even with words... I tried out for the talent show. Not only to show that there are things that I can do but to take a stand against them. Peter and Igor are Russian and fluently speak the language. My stand against them was as simple as using a Russian lesbian band to my advantage. I did poi to a song by the infamous "lesbian" Russian band called Tatu (who, many later found out, aren't really lesbians), which was "Nas Ne Dagoniat" (also know, in English, as "Not Gonna Get Us" wink . This shows that you don't really have to fight in order to get back at someone for years of bullying.
Let them know you're not afraid.
Stand up, speak out
