I would never ask you to change

What kind of person would I be
If I asked you to be different?
To compleatly forget, who you once were
Just to please me

Now, Im standing right beside you,
And I know my friends are talking,
About how you seem childish,
And a bit immature

I never thought thought that I would say this
"I honestly dont care what people think or what they say"
As long as your happy it doesnt matter,
because I love you

I would never as you to change who you are inside
The someone I fell in love with,
That something special about you
Even if I know that my friends wont approve
I wont care, as long as Im with you
So dont think that I would ever change you

Why is it so hard for them to get this?
I dont know why they just dont understand
Do I really have to explain this?
I guess Im just getting mad
