Background: Born of ancient and completely pure blood, Ashlen's family has never envisioned a world ruled by wizards or purebloods. They have always believed in peace between muggles and wizards... quite the hippies. They have lived across the street from the Blacks since before Ashlen was born. Although their cohabitation had always been tense, the Rain-Andersons had never harbored any ill will against the prejudiced Blacks and fell in love with their youngest son, Sirius. Ashlen and Sirius grew up playing in the park down the street with other muggle children. Then, when the duo began to show signs of magical powers, the Blacks would not let Sirius play with the muggle children any longer. He didn't mind, and he formed an everlasting friendship with Ashlen, though they were very different: he was wily and rambunctious where Ashlen was bookish and quiet. They remained great friends until the day they were sorted into different houses. Then, their worlds divided. Then, in Sirius's 6th year, his parents died. Ashlen came to comfort him, but the Rain-Andersons were going through a hard time, so he had to live with the Potters. He kept in contact, and the childhood friendship rekindled. Sirius vowed that they would not lose this friendship when they went back to school, but Ashlen wasn't so sure. His friends did not seem like people she would like to be around all the time. Still, she was determined to try her best. So she came to King's Cross Station and searched for Sirius...
