I am…
Who am I? Do you really know? Can you see past this smile? Beyond the fallen snow?
Yes, I do believe I’m happy, But do you know why? Can you figure out, Why I do not cry?
Each second of the day, I fight many battles. Not only mine, but yours. Please do not tattle.
For no one must know, Of the secret inside. Or then they would worry, Of the battle inside.
How do I remain happy? With this bloodshed each day? When sword is missing, And shield has given way?
No one must see The blood that sheds from me. No one must see, Or they can not be free.
You cannot know Of the crimson waterfall inside. You must turn away, From the things that I must hide.
Come cast your burden on me, Be happy for awhile And when a burden comes back again Throw it on me so I can see that smile.
That’s why I am happy, During this great war That I can see you happy Though I must fight some more
Knowing that no blood Sheds from you pours Though my blood, May quickly be no more
Sword is missing, And shield has given way So my fists are up, For that shinning promising of day
Who am I? Do you really know? Can you see past this smile? Beyond the fallen snow?
I am… A warrior
A warrior of peace A warrior of love
A warrior of burdens A warrior of tears
A warrior for you A warrior for me
I am… The warrior of happiness
