I just did a count (and I was only counting entries that I actually uploaded to DeviantArt, there may have been others I didn't upload), and it turns out that out of the last eight art contests I've entered, I've won prizes in none of them. It's like a curse! Before that I won prizes in probably five or so in a row. And if I was just coloring for the contest someone else's lines, I think my record has been close to 100% of the time win at least *A* prize -- but I haven't done that in a very long while. Don't get me wrong, I am NOT complaining, nor am I whining, I am just thinking about it in practical terms, trying to glean meaning from it -- IS there a meaning in it? IS it bad luck? Do I just need to put more time into these things? I do notice a tendency which is that I wait until the last minute and then they are rushed. Or do I really just stink at drawing/painting and I didn't realize it and can't see it? Iono. It's not a big deal because I have more than enough Gaia stuff atm, I am just thinking about what it MEANS.

I am planning on having an art contest soon myself but I am unsure of what I want art of. I think it would be neat to have it end on or near my Gaiaversary (my 5th one is on August 16th). I want art of my soot face avatar for sure. But what else? ... ??? Hmmm...
