Chapter 1 : The Dream
“You must fulfill your mission of killing the otome before she wipes out our entire race” a shallow voice said to the two shadowy figures standing before him. The two boys nodded and replied with a straight answer, “Yes, councilor” they said then taking a final bow then leaving for the unknown world they were destined to go to.
A sudden portal-like hole appeared from the ground. The two shadowy boys made their way down, thus appearing in the new world. They looked around, keeping their hopes up that they would find the otome fast. They slowly crept up next to her bit her in the neck. The girl fell to the ground and…
‘Thump!’ a loud sound made as Kayla fell off her bed. ‘Ouch…’ she muttered as she massaged the back of her neck and back as well. The door slowly began to open, thus making Kayla jump back into bed. ‘Ah!’ Her mother and her shouted in unison. ‘Oh, it’s just you. And it was just a dream.’ she whispered the last part. ‘Anyway, breakfast is ready.’ Her mother says as she walks back out.
Kayla wobbled out of bed and looked at her clock that was just sitting at the end of her table. ‘Oh no! I’ll be late for school if I don’t get going. ’She cried as she quickly ran to her bathroom and got ready.
A couple minutes later, after taking a shower and eating breakfast, she gave her mom a kiss goodbye and walked out of her house. Kayla hopped on her bike and threw her lunch box into the basket in front.
She saw two of her friends, Adrianna and Kelsie who were biking as well. She waved frantically as she greeted them. She joined their little group and made their way to school.
As soon as it had become their break time, they all joined at same table as always and obviously began to talk about the simple topic of ‘Boys…’Adrianna sighed. ‘Hey, what kind of guy do you like, Kayla?’ Kelsie asked curiously. ‘Hmm… Someone who’s nice, caring, sweet, yet cute but aggressive. Someone who’d protect me- like a prince or something.’ she described. ‘That’s so typical you, Kayla!’ her friends cried. ‘Can’t you be more realistic?’ they asked. Kayla blushed as she shook her head in the sign of no.
Suddenly, the bell rang. Kayla hurriedly got up and left whilst saying goodbye to her friends. When she got back to her classroom, she immediately sat down. When all the students were finally seated, two new boys entered the classroom. The teacher introduced them, ‘All right class. We have two new students who came all the way from Osaka to study here. Their names are Kade Soule and Kyle Cross. Kade and Kyle aren’t brothers though they are good friends. Please treat them well, class. Okay then. Please choose a vacant seat, boys.’ She says. ‘Yes ma’am.’They say, sitting to the left and right of Kayla.
Kayla gulped as she wasn’t so sure if this was what she wanted. She looked at Adrianna and Kelsie, but they just winked at her. ‘Why, Ms.Talfair, why don’t you show these two boys around the school?’ The teacher asked. ‘Y-y-yes teacher…’ Kayla stuttered.
