This is the tale of me, Lamia Landry, a vampire. To put it simply this is the story of my birth to night, a life of searching for something never to be found...till death, and eventually that death which ends all.

If you question how this was written and sent back to earth well it is simple reader. My spirit, earthbound as the rest of my covens spirits' can affect some matter. Some of the matter being humans. In order to write this story. I merely take over the body of a human for short periods of time. that is why the story is chronicled as you will see. in short pieces.

staying within the body is dangerous. which is why the memoirs are condensed to the most important parts

why do i write you may ask. well, why not?


It all starts in my parents house, I still live there because I'm 18, we live in New Orleans Louisiana, its about 3 am in 1908. I'm in my room. I just had another fight with my parents.

Oh if only I could run away. live the life I dream of. Not have to marry the wretched boy that they expect me to. That they betrothed me to...

I feel a presence but I just ignore it. It turns out to be Jean Peroché, but I don't know it. I'm just laying on my bed thinking of the book I just read, another vampire book, and how amazing it would be to be like the character as a vampire.

You see i was obssessed with the supernatural at this time. It was the only way I could think of escaping the dreadful existence i led.

i had thought, what creature wouldnt want me to join them. i was gorgeous and ready for darkness.

I have long black hair, violet-blue eyes, I'm curvy, and of a medium height, 5'6". I hate my parents. They hate me.

So back to Jean.


Jean had been watching me for weeks seeing if I would make a worthy fledgling. I'm pretty smart but like I said I have an obsession with the supernatural which prompts me to study and read a lot.

After scanning through the thoughts I was thinking then he decided I was was perfect. He swept into the room without a sound and lifted me off my bed and covered my mouth. I realized almost immediatly what he was and relaxed in his arms.

He flew out the window towards his house soundlessly as I fell asleep in his arms, exhausted by the day and excited for the night.
