Peace...
What is it?
Is is a home when you have none?
Is it a tight embrace of a loved one?
Is is the flight of birds, out to sea?
Or was it never in you or me?
Is it something that lurks, deep inside,
the we need to let free, for a while?
Is it something that can be taught?
Is it anything that we had forgot?
Is it footsteps on the beach?
Is it when you're falling, and out a hand does reach?
Is it an 'unalienable right' or something you choose?
Is it when a battle is won, and the enemy lose?
What is it?
None may know, not the wise, not the old,
but I, always, am told,
That peace is what we need, most of all.
