As some of you may know my cattle dog/kelpie died on sunday the 27th of April this year (3 days ago).
Jessie was 14 years old when she passed away after having a stroke. She joined our family almost 14 years ago, and so I have grown up with her in my life even since i can remember.
Towards the end of her life I stopped spending as much time with her, as i had a lot of school work to finish, but I just have one thing to say.
If you have a pet that you hold dear, spend as much time as possible with it.
When it leaves this earth the memories are all you have, and the more memories you have the best you can deal with their death - although it is hard to say goodbye because of them.
Jessie and i were pups together, and when i was still a pup she looked after me. She didnt really listen to what i told her to do, because as far as she was concerned, she was meant to give the orders.
I am finding it hard to cope at the moment, but when i feel glum, i just remember everything we did together, and how good myself and my family made her life, and how she perfected ours.
I will always miss you smelly heart
