Okay so from time to time I get tired of writing poetry and I decide to write a small story, nothing big or amazing just something that comes to mind.
Aria stroked the small beagle that was nipping happily at some butterflies. She was unaware of the changes that were soon to occur, nor were her sisters. Nadia, the oldest of the 3, was gazing at her reflection in the fountain when she saw the sky start to turn a eerie shade of gray. She brushed off her crimson dress and stalked over to her sister Lyla who was painting a lovely picture of her sister. "Lyla, darling," Nadia murmured "There is a storm brewing..." Lyla nodded and swirled the paints around creating a beautiful sunset around her sister Aria,"If only life was really this perfect..." she thought, sighing as she set the easel aside. Aria was lost in her own little world, she was only 17 and had no cares in the world for her sisters we're always casting away all the trouble that had ever come near her. She saw her sisters conversing and decided to stroll over and see what it was about. Nadia was 19 and Lyla 18, the innocent look at was on Aria's face them both quiver, knowing that trouble was coming and they couldn't stop it made them want to hold their sister but they knew they had no choice but to tell her. "Aria..." Lyla stepped away from the beautiful peach tree she was leaning on and laid her hands gently on her shoulders. "He's coming." Aria stepped away from her sisters embrace and took a deep breath, "I thought papa banished him..." she titled her head to the sky and let a single tear roll down her cheek. "Did our father and mother die for nothing?" Nadia who was watching her sister carefully, stepped forward "We can't do anything about it now, the seal is broken and we must flee." "But...what about our people?" She curled up her fists knowing there was nothing she could do. "Nadia, what about our people? This whole kingdom? We're just going to flee like that?!" Aria's cool blue eyes were now glazed over, tears just waiting to spill. Her sister stroked her cheeks that were now flushed pink and sighed "Yes baby sister, we have to leave our people, even if they die we have to go, we aren't strong enough yet." Nadia turned to Lyla who was watching from a distance. Her younger sister so fragile so innocent and her older sister the strongest and bravest. She gazed at the sky and shuffled towards her sisters "Nadia..."She brushed a strand of fire red hair from her sisters face and gazed into her emerald green eyes for a moment before continuing "We have to go. Now."
