A Truthful Quote by Someone I Love
"Pain...
If only everyone could have such a reliable friend.
Never abandoning,
never sneaky or false.
Pain, hmm,
The epitome of loyalty."

This quote really struck me. It's relentlessly true and was just one of those quotes that made me think so much that I could right an essay out of my thoughts.
Pain is one of those things that follows us throughout our lives. It doesn't matter who we are, what we are, our gender, race, age, what our financial or health situation is, what we've done, who we've been with...the list goes on for every difference there is between us. We all feel pain and we all have our different ways of dealing with it; taking it out on ourselves or others, bottling it up and keeping it hidden within us so we can be slowly (or quickly) eaten apart by it, letting it out constructively or destructively, or (rarely) finding the strength to deal with it, understand it, and move on! The last option is by far the hardest and rarest among the human race. But those who can do it will never regret that ability. Not really. What so few people realize (or even if they realize it, they don't act on it) is that there is a chain of pain. One that passes from one victim to the next. The only way to stop the chain is by overcoming the pain and not letting it destroy your life or anyone else's. To be honest, I had not even realized this until I read that quote. The author has a way of communication unlike anything else I have ever known. And part of this is because his life is filled to the brim with pain. And yet....he is one of those people who has that incredible strength and knows how to deal with all of that pain without letting it carry out its eternal mission: to spread like the disease that it is.
My point in all of this is simple:
If there were just more people out there who could find those rusted links and break through them, that damned murderous chain could be stopped and destroyed.
I know that I'm just some girl that most people here don't know. But I really hope that some will read this and at least think about once after they have logged off for the day. My thoughts were shortened now, because I have exams to study for, but I think that I summarized my ideas well enough to make a point. So please, comment if this entry meant anything to you...I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

It's true that holding in pain can eat someone from the inside out, but it also has its advantages, if seen the right way. I build my life by being negative, and holding in the pain. I admit though, that there are times when it's unbearable, but in the end, for me it's worth it. I'm glad you put up that quote, i really am^^

Truly ironic is it not?
For that which is most loyal to you,
is that which you do not wish to be so...

So, who was this friend of yours who you quoted this from?

I truly hope someone will read what you wrote and take it to heart love. You have a way of expressing ideas so poetically and yet so bluntly that they are not confusing and just hit the heart like a bolt from a ballista. So hopefully someone will read that and keep it with them. *bows head* and thank you for letting me be a part of something like that essay, for allowing something i said to be used in that way. It means alot. Thank you.

I remembered when I left my high school, it was so so so so so so so so so so painful. I missed everyone. The bestest of friends, the friendship was real u know, but now, I still cant get over it. But I think this pain will continue driving me forward - I have put down and given up such a big part of my life in order to achieve something else, I must use it to the best of my oppunities and do the old boys proud. That's how I overcome pain - use it instead of letting it use you.

Wow... I love that. <3 I'm so totally going to steal it, put it on my profile and mangle it to death.

Sometimes I wish my companions could see the truth of that quote. It seems they don't even want support or help. They just want the pain. There is no loyalty if the person denies it. :/ I've found to deal with the pain, and move on with my life. More important than the past is the future, and more important than the future is the present. People who look at suicide or cutting themselves as a way to get away from their problems are cowards. Sometimes I wonder how people become so sensitive, but we're all our own being. :/ One shouldn't have high expectancies of others.

I love that quote, anyway. <3 This gives me an easy and brief way to lecture amateurs on the discipline of psychology. Thank you for this entry. C:
