Let the rain fall down,
I will catch it in my hands
It's drenching me now,
Whispering soft poetry
As it pelts the ground.
My clothes are heavy,
Weighed down by memories
And sad regrets
That settle as sleet,
Washing everything in silver.
I drink the rain
From the cup of my palms,
So sweet, like a kiss...
I'm soaked far past my skin
But still I stand
In the middle of a downpour,
Waiting for the world to drown.
