The Tsubamegan was originally developed by the Sasaki clan's first swordsman as a means of seeing through the country's thick rain. Basically, by feeding a suitable amount of their chakra through their optic nerves, they can dramatically increase their vision for a fixed amount of time. The time the Tsubamegan stays active is dependant on the user's skill with it. If someone trained with it every day for two entire years they may be able to keep it active for an hour and ten minutes at the most.
Through increasing their vision in this way the user's peripheral vision becomes more acute and they can nearly sense when a movement is being made within a five foot radius around them, giving them a short amount of time to change strategy, much like a swallow can sense danger and move into a different flight path. Also, because their vision is more acute, the may notice Genjutsu being cast on them and be more aware and able to initiate 'Kai', rather than having to suffer it out until they reach the conclusion that they are within the illusion. Again, this ability relies on the user's skill with Tsubamegan.

"Kizu no Mure - Flock of Pain"

Kizu no Mure is Kojiro's first original technique. After taking a deep, relaxing breath, he will line himself up in front of the opponent. He will then proceed to stab the opponent repeatedly in the chest and lower abdomen. The speed of this stabs is so great that, even blocking them with a high endurance armor, would leave your body shaking and pulsing with tight pains.
"Togire Hane - Broken Wing"

When Kojiro is under attack from above he will get low, crouching down, with Monohoshi Zao held in a diagonal position over his head. Then, in one quick movement, he will coarse chakra through the blade of Monohoshi Zao and spin in a single circle. During his spin, if anything comes in contact with him it will be forced back with enough strength to crush a boulder.
"Nangi - Affliction"

Nangi is one of Kojiro's signature techniques. Striding Monohoshi Zao backwards from his right side while coursing it with his chakra. This creates a blurred white image trailing behind the blade. Kojiro will the sweep the blade in front of him on a diagonal, sending an arch of chakra to shoot towards the opponent. This arch is able to cut through most matter and emits a rather loud humming noise as it soars through the air.
"Tsubame Gaeshi - Swallow Reversal"

This cut is reputedly so quick and precise that it can strike down a bird in mid-flight. It involves fierce and swift cuts downward and then immediately upwards. The strike's second phase can be from below toward the rear and then upward at an angle, like a bird of prey climbing again after swooping down on its prey.

"Monohoshi Zao - Drying Pole"
A straight-edged nodachi with a blade-length of over 90 cm. (3 feet) long. As a comparison, the average blade-length of the regular katana are usually 70 cm (2 feet, 3 inches) but rarely longer. Despite the sword's length and weight, Kojiro's strokes with the weapon are unnaturally quick and precise.
Miscellaneous:
Kojiro wears what he calls "a true swordsman's attire". It fashions a light, decorated robe, worn over a lightweight leather armor. He wears black pants and sparring boots with a golden trim and keeps his hair up in a long ponytail, only letting it down when he feels he needs to get serious, treating the silk wrap like a limiter to his skills.
Biography:
"Take every opportunity you are given" is the motow of this mercenary. Kojiro is one of the great descendants of the Sasaki clan's founding swordsman; the man that gave the clan their edge, Sasaki Makashimoto. Kojiro is his great great grandson and, as would be expected, is an incredible swordsman. His speed and prowess rival that of his grandfather and he is highly respected in the Sasaki clan because of this, being called such things as "the next master" and "Makashimotos reincarnation". Although he didn't know his grandfather that well before he died, he managed to learn the more advanced basics of swordplay from him.
By the time Kojiro was ten he was already of Genin rank, taking part in missions, using his incredible speed to blaze past his father and uncle and apprehend the target before his teammates could even begin to chase after him. It was also at this time that Kojiro developed his first technique, "Kizu no Mure". When Kojiro wasn't on missions he was training under another master swordsman from what is now known as Amegakure, who's name was never mentioned to anyone but Kojiro.
By thirteen Kojiro had awakened his Tsubamegan, enabling him to further hone his skills with the sword. By now he had far surpassed his father's expectations, which was beginning to secretly cause his father to despise him. It was also around this time that Kojiro's mother died from a terminal illness to which no cure could be found in time, leaving Kojiro alone with his father and uncle.
At the age of fifteen he was leading his own faction, consisting of himself, his father, his uncle, and a few other members of the Sasaki clan, into battle with clans from all over the continent. One day however, his life changed forever. While on the battlefield, Tsubamegan active, his father attacked him, accompanied by his uncle. Their jealousy had finally gotten the best of them as they fell from the skies, blades held towards Kojiro's throat. It was at this point in time that Kojiro invented his first defensive technique, "Togire Hane". When the two men came in contact with Monohoshi Zao they were sent soaring into enemy lines, their weapons left to fall at Kojiro's feet, where they were immediately disposed of.
It was that event that declared Kojiro as one of the Sasaki clan's legends, causing many of the people that cross his path to think twice before challenging him. He now travels aimlessly through the continent, working as an assassin for anyone who is willing to pay him.
