Conviction
It doesn’t matter who you are
as long as you appeal to me, or prove useful to me
you will gain my approval
It doesn’t matter if you’re hurting
especially if I inflict it at your expense
as long as my own pain recedes
It doesn’t matter what THE truth is
because only my truth matters
as it sounds and feels more substantial
It doesn’t matter what you believe in
nor what anyone else does for that matter
as Justice is nothing but a lie for the naive
So you see…
It doesn’t matter what you do or say.
Nobody will care.
