Divorce
Divorce is hell. Of everything that I can imagine in Satan's domain, divorce is one of the things at the top of the list. My stepdad is divorced from his first wife, and my stepbrothers spend the summer with us and schoolyears with her. The emotional pain I see in them, and the loss I myself feel, every time they leave is enormous. No one desrves to go through that. Especially not two little boys 8 and 10 years old. It's different than death, and in my opinion, worse in a way (my own dad died), because it's a choice somebody made. I guess death by suicide is too, but that's different. It breaks my heart to see those little boys and their father cry and hold each other just before the boys get on the plane. I don't usually use strong language, but there is no other way to say it: divorce is hell.
