Well how about that. It's a brand-spankin' new Gaia Journal. (I'm kind of surprised I have no entries.)

In any case, this is the Journal of Gifts. But, before I go into detail of the general purpose of this journal, I want to share why I'm creating it.

You see, I used to be very fashion concious on Gaia. I always post in Avatar Talk and the AAY threads in Word Games. But, I realized that no matter what I made, I couldn't make an avi that I liked, while everyone else also liked it.
That's right.
I learned that people have different tastes.

So, I decided to abandon my efforts at creating an avi that everyone would adore. Since I seem to be somewhat of a puppet in a way I seem to live only for everyone else, I've decided to do something that everyone can enjoy.

I've decided to go with "mini-me" thing, and dressed my avi in my favorite IRL outfit, I sold all my stuff for gold, and I now buy things... to give away to those who want things.


Posting a public journal of this sort of thing may be a bad idea. I don't have a fancy shop, other than the basic one in the Marketplace, and I don't have as near as much gold as I probably should have for this sort of thing, and if anything, I may get a few stalkers.

But, I'll keep an eye for that sort of thing, and I'll be sure to give away things responsibly.

So, I would just like to say, that kindness in Gaia is still alive, to those who think otherwise, and that it doesn't hurt to state what you want help in getting. :3

That's all I can remember so far. I wonder if the lists will get bigger as I seem to be getting kinda serious about it...

I believe this journal will help me serve a dual-purpose. That, one, it's okay to ask for the things you want. I doesn't hurt to say what you want in your siggy, and so long as you're not pestering anyone, to ask for what you want from others directly every now and then. Secondly, to let other's know that giving away things to those who ask can be fun and rewarding in itself.
It feels good to get a heart-felt thanks in a profile comment or PM, and even to see that person wear your item, if even only for a little while...
