Party
"Jean where are you taking me?" I asked exasperated.
"You'll see just be patient." Jean said patiently. I sighed and let myself be pulled along.
"Ok. Now you can open your eyes." Jean said letting me go.I slowly opened my eyes. I blinked. In front of her was Haréré*, Krytys, Iasaes, and a few other vampires.
"Jean what is going on?" I asked in awe.
"We are having a party to celebrate your awakening." he said smiling. I looked around and saw tons of decorations. There was a huge banner that said 'Welcome back Lamia!' on it. I saw bottles of what looked like red wine on the table. Duh. not wine, blood. I thought. I saw a few crystal glasses and a humongous pile of present boxes.
"What's the mountain of presents for?" I asked walking over to the pile. I started counting the colorfully wrapped gifts.
"Jean never got to spoil you so he decided to do it now." Haréré said warmly.
"That one," Haréré said pointing to the one on top as she put an arm around my shoulder.
"is from me. Its to welcome you to the vampire life and into being one of my children" she said.
"Wow Haréré! Thanks!" I said as she turned and hugged her. Haréré held me like a child and said
"Please call me mother." a tear slid down my cheek as I let go of Haréré and went to the table and got a glass and poured some blood. I figured out it was blood mixed with wine. I'd never had alcohol before, I figured since I was a vampire it owuldn't effect me. I drank deeply then turned to the mountain of presents and attacked. Haréré's was a beautiful ruby drop necklace on a satin black chocker chain. I put it on and tore open the other gifts.
There were endless pakcages of clothes, jewlery, and my favorite thing, books. I ran over to Jean and hugged him.
"Thank you so much they are all so wonderful!" I cried. Then I went and sat on the couch drinking blood mixed with wine. I started to feel a little tipsy, it got worse in seconds, much worse, then I got up and staggered around and pulled Jean on the couch with me and started kissing him. I was having the time of my unending life.
