Prologue
“Nooo” I yelled as I ran on four padded feet. I was a dog and I was running for a something. I couldn’t look back because the thing was closing in and I was afraid that it would kill me if I looked back. I saw a large trench and was about to jump over it when a large hand grabbed my back legs and tripped me causing to fly forward straight into the trench. I landed on the trench bottom hard. I looked up while trying to become human. My fur shrank back into my body and my teeth returned back to normal. I was completely human when the thing (or more accurately a red eyed shadow). “Go away” I yelled “get away from me” The shadow however continued to me until it was an inch from my face. Then it screeched and in one motion, engulfed me in its darkness. “Ahhhh” I screamed as I disappeared.

Chapter 1-A Short Introduction
“Nooo” I screamed as I sat up in bed. I looked around at my dark room. I sighed and sank back into the bed. I glanced at my watch, 2:00. “Great” I thought “another sleepless night”. I turned my hand and was about to put it down when he light shined on a white scar on my hand, my least favorite scar. But I’m already getting ahead of myself. My name is Kyle Mathis. I’m 18 years old, brown hair (that falls in front of my face and falls down to my neck in the back), and blue/green eyes. I rolled out of bed and waked over to the window and stared up at the night sky where the moon hung. I looked around my room. My unmade bed, the shredded curtains, and my small dresser were all in bad condition. I looked around the dark room but my vision made it look there was an unseen light. I walked over to my dresser and pulled on a shirt. I pulled on my shoes and opened the window. “It’s a good night” I thought and I jumped out of the window of my room. It’s time to hunt.
