Just another lesson in how life never bores you if you're paying attention.
June 13, 08 Friday

I thought of just writing the date as June I have no idea, 08. But once again, the newspaper came to my rescue. I just barely learned that today is FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH!!! gonk evil twisted burning_eyes

.....but seriously, I don't beleive that 'evil numbers' like 13 or 666 have any power. June 6 of 2006 (6/6/06) was a perfectly ordinary day in my neighborhood. And I always have an average/good day on the dreaded thirteenth. There's a carnival today.

Well, all the members of my family older than me have been nagging telling me to study for my driver's test, and it annoys me. I've already read through the driver's manual twice, but that was during the school year. Well, if I fail once I can take it again!!!!! Take that, Dad!

Every year since we moved here 5 1/2 years ago, some birds move into a little cranny in our roof just out the kitchen window and raise a family. That is just the sweetest little thing ever. whee

Now let's talk about pets. The family isn't allowed pets in the current situation, but you can bet I'm going to have cats and dogs when I'm grown and out of the house. In fact, screw the dogs! I'll be a premature crazy cat lady! mrgreen

And I'm already considering a certain breed that would be surprising: the hairless sphinx.

Exactly! I want a hairless sphinx! I'm sorry I can't put in a picture, but if anyone knows how to put pictures in the Gaia journals, please tell me. Just go to Google and image search 'hairless sphinx' or 'hairless cat'.

What's the point of a cat with no hair? Well, they would never have hairballs or make your couch strangely fuzzy. And although they're still not hypoallergenic, a lack of cat hair deposits around the house would make it better for someone with mild allergies. That's not the real reason though. Hairless sphinxes are said to be extremely social, friendly, and intelligent. Come on! A cat doesn't need to be a blue-eyed Siamese kitten with long, angora fur to worthy of the love of a true crazy cat lady!

But keep in mind, hairless cats need some special care. Never let them get too cold. If you need a sweater, the hairless cat probably needs a sweater. They can get sunburned. And, all cats have glands in their skin that produce oil, and normally this would just spread out on their fur, but on a hairless cat it just makes the skin greasy. They have to be bathed once a week.

Soon I'm going to get my avatar 'emo glasses', not because I'm parcticularly emo, but because they just look like glasses. I have glasses in real life and want my avatar to have some.

See ya! razz
