"But madamouiselle, you can't leave now you have just returned and master Jean isn't here. If you leave what would we do?!?" Matthew asked me as we walked on the deck of my new ship. I looked at the impeccable craftsmenship. Everything was as I wanted it. A perfect recreation of a pirate ship. I don't know why I wanted it to be a pirate ship, its just I guess I've alway thought they were cool. I looked at the intricate carvings that covered the mast railings and doors. They were all so beautiful. I was jubilant.
"Ahh, Matthew it is so good you care so much. Don't worry, I won't leave for a year or so, in that time I will get things in order for your family and the families of the others to remain in the mansion and to keep paying them to keep the house in order. I wil not be away forever and neither will Jean.... I'm certain he will return even if it is not soon...." I said a tear sliding down my cheek turning away as it fell.
"Mistress? Would you like this?" Matthew asked. I turned back and took the handkercief I was offered.
"Leave me please." I said as the tears started to fall and I headed for the captain's quaters of the ship.
