Brattymatt turned around and saw an old freind of his.
Brattymatt: Roxas. I expected better of you. You know that this is my turf.
Roxas: Whatever happened to sharing? Speaking of which, I do not mind sharing the attention of this young woman right here.
*Ina blushes*
Ina: well, at least SOMEONE here is gentleman. You may leave now, agent 64.
Brattymatt just gaped. He may leave now? Oh, hell no. He turned to look for clues somewhere else, but his fedora just popped off. he turned around and there was Roxas, holding his whip, and Ina, obviously trying to impress her.
Brattymatt: Thats it! It is on now!
He took out his flame sword, and when Roxas was going to snap another article of clothing off, Brattymatt swung at it, and charred a side.
???: That's right Roxas, I am here too! NOBODY messes with me, or my master!
Brattymatt: That's right Fury.
Fury was the flamesword that was talking, and Roxas, Ina, and Brattymatt's two assistants, all had their mouths wide open.
Roxas: I thought the fact that you had the last flameword that was magically enhanced, was a myth!
Ina: By the way Roxas, how do you two klnow each other?
Brattymatt told the story while a flashback was playing, and he told it like people see it in the movies.
*FLASHBACK*
It was when me and Roxas were interns to become detectives. We were waiting in line to eat lunch and I commented out loud-
FB Brattymatt: Geez, this lunchline is seriously long.
FB Roxas: Tell me about it. I thought it was bad yesterday.
FB Brattymatt: I know. Do you play KH?
FB Roxas: Heck yes. Roxas.
FB Brattymatt: Brattymatt.
One topic led to another, and soon we became very good freinds. But then we went our seperate ways. Roxas took a job at the publicly known, Detectives International Inc. while I joined the I.I.T.Y.I.W.H.T.K.Y.
*FLASHBACK ENDING*
Roxas: What do you mean, " We went our seperate ways"? We both became detectives right?
Brattymatt: Ah yes, but you investigate why things are there and I investigate why things are not here.
Roxas: That is just coincidence. Besides, why should we be arguing if we should be looking around for clues?
Ina: He's right, my assistant was here doing some late work, when the twilight prince was here. She would know what happened.
*END*
Brattymatt: Now that was slightly better. But it needs more jokes.
Matt: How can you fit jokes into a mystery plot?
Brattymatt: Derek Landy (the author of Skulduggery Pleasant) Seems to pull it off.
Matt: well, I am not him now am I?
Brattymatt: No you are not.
Matt: Should I say thank you, because it feels like you insulted me.
Brattymatt: You shall never know.
