"Are you okay Ordell-san?" Shinto asked, hanging over his bed. "I'm fine..." he said petting the cat demon,"You should be checking on your own Master. He's the one with the most injuries." "O-Okay...I just wanted to check on you first...." he said with his ears down. "Thank you for your kindness now go see Prince Caliban." A light purple haired girl entered the room shyly. "L-Lady Asami....f-forgive me if I made you worry..." he said sitting up in his bed. "N-N-No...I-I-I wasn't worried....you're tough and I knew you could handle it...." she said blushing."Lady Asami....are you ill?" he asked. Asami shook her head,"N-No...I'm fine. But Ordell?" "Hm? Yes, Your Holiness?" he asked. "Will you listen to every word I say without any interruptions?" "Uh...if that is your order...." "It is." she said sternly. "Okay, what is it?" "Throughout this entire journey...and meeting you...I....I.....I've never felt more happy. I know you're older and I thought it was just a phase or something but....seeing you lead us to victory and risk your life for my home....I've finally been able to understand. Oh Ordi....I love you! I love your stupid dorky attitude, your cute glasses, your smarts, the fact that you're a soldier, everything about you....I love all of it~! And I couldn't care if you were homeless...I don't care what class you're in or how far apart we are...I love Ordell Consky and nothing will change that." she stated. Her face glowed a beautiful shade of pink and Ordell was bright red. "Oh...well....uh...um....you really think my glasses are cute?" he asked. "Hell yea! Dorks are soooo cute~ Besides all the old suitors I had were pompous idiots...but you are smart and kind.....I think we're perfect for eachother...we need eachother. You know it....and...now I know it." she said sitting on the bed. Ordell stared at the window and exhaled,"Asami....I've always felt the same, and all I've wanted is your safety and happiness but....your brother...the others...it would never work ou-" Asami silenced Ordell with a gentle kiss, but that was more than enough. "Y-Your Holiness..." he stammered. She put her index finger on his lips,"This can be our little secret okies? Not even teacher or big brother have to know, alright?" "But they'll find out..." "And what? All of the Voices had husbands or wives.....what's wrong with people falling in love hm?" Ordell hugged Asami and whispered lightly in her ear,"Thank you...."


I sat in Caliban's room with everyone else surrounding him. He was pretty roughed up but none of us had noticed until all of the opposing army was in jail. "Master....please wake up....please...." Shinto whispered, rubbing Cal's hand. "Cali's a trooper....I don't think he'd let sumthin like this get 'im down. He wouldn't die from something like this...I know he wouldn't." the sand fox commented. "Sigh....I hope Sis is done healing that dork...." Zeke pouted. It was pretty obvious to all of us what was happening but we let Zeke be as oblivious as he wanted. Finally Asami came down with Ordell at her side. "Alright so who's the puppy that needs my attention?" she asked cutely. Of course Caliban was unconscious but Shinto waved his hand and said cutely,"Master!" It took Asami a few minutes and then she backed away from his body,"30 minutes.....he'll wake up and be a-ok. For now let's give him some rest okies?" We all nodded and sat down at the round table. "Alright...one very important thing we need to address is Alistair and Fira.....they will continue to become a problem if we let them run around, any ideas?" Ordell asked. "We go after them obviously! It shouldn't be that hard to find them...what's the place they'd be most likely to attack?" I asked. Merlow patted my shoulder,"Merlon...it's not that easy....they're sneaky and they have an entire army of hell at there side.....getting an army even remotely able to beat them....or even go against them for the matter....we haven't even let the public know about this incident and they won't exactly be okay with what you did...." We continue to argue and come up with ideas for a whole hour when Caliban stumbled out from the corner. "I know where they'll go...." he said. Shinto ran to his side and propped his body upward,"They'll hit home....when the first snowflake falls....I have to get their first but...I think we should do an announcement, one for the whole world to see and know about, we need people.""But who will train them?" Ordell asked. "Dolcino and your old general Ordi! They're the best ones for the job...let's go make that announcement." Asami ordered. Within the next hour myself, Merlow, Asami, Caliban, and Yael were up infront of the world. Orbs all around the world would project our holographic images as though we were right beside them First Asami called out to the public and told them all that was happening. I then called out for recruits and answered all of the questions and apologized. But to my surprise I wasn't stoned...in fact they all cheered once they found out I was Sir Lathan's son. "You are the true King!" one called out. After calling out to all of the world it was Cali and Yael who was next. Yael called out to the desert and all of Para's spirits, we needed any help we could get. Last was Caliban. "My kin...my brother and sisters....I know that humans and demons alike must be surprised to see me here. A few months ago my mother was murdered and.....I trusted no human, for years us demons were persecuted and treated like animals...like scum...like nothing. But once I met Merlon and the others....I realized that there could be a world where demons and human could get along...even where whole different species could love! I am amazed...so to every demon across Para.....please join the fight in stopping Fira and her army...this is our world as well and we cannot allow it to be taken from us. Plus my brothers.....trust me, for soon....I am coming home." The crowd was silent until Caliban let out a howl that echoed across the land. Cheers erupted, maybe...maybe just maybe this could work. Thousands arrived and were being trained within the coming weeks. Asami had blessed Dolcino and he would take over until she returned. "Are you sure you'll be okay Your Holiness?" he asked. "Yea....with big brother here to protect me, I'll manage." she said with a smile. So like that we were back on the high seas once more and this time sailing back home. "So...what happens when the first snow flake falls in the West, Master?" Shinto asked curiously. It was late and all of us wanted to know Caliban's story so we listened in by the moonlight. "Well....for that moment on...the 31 Days of Winter Tales start.....it's sort of a holiday and it's devoted to this world's origins and they history of the demons. Heroes stories are told...and even stuff about kind humans.....there are many things to celebrate during this time." he said, staring at the moon. "I heard it gets frightfully cold in the West....." Zeke fumbled. "Don't worry...." Cali laughed,"I'll get you winter clothes...but he is right...blizzards and snow storms are frequent...that's why everyone comes in before the first snowflake falls....that's when the winter shield comes up. And no creature has ever been able to pass through it." he warned. "What's that?" I asked. "It's a natural phenomenon that occurs all around the Western boundaries....it protects the whole land for 31 days.....that is why many demons rush to get in. Because they will be trapped for an entire month." Ordell explained. "Wow...it's like they have to make that trek there....way different form Christmas at home....way different from anything back home...." I said. "Yea...things in Para are weird..." Merlow replied.

After a week of sailing we finally docked and received a royals welcome. "Welcome back Your Highness!" the people cheered. Caliban smiled back but I could tell something was wrong. It was a weak smile, and he almost appeared to be...struggling. "Is Master alright?" Shinto asked, holding his hand. I could see Caliban wince but give a nod,"Don't worry I'm okay..." I watched as everyone started to mingle but since nothing really interested me just yet I walked away from the party. I found myself at a shrine with a carving of a huge dog-like animal with it's mouth wide open. It almost looked like something was supposed to fit inside. I traced my finger along the many lines and designs.....the demon's must've had another secret language that only they knew...I only wished I could understand it. "Merlon....what I surprise." I heard a familiar voice say. Master....in all his false glory. I readied Mooncica for an attack but Master only held up his hand,"Relax little one....I will not fight you yet....you aren't ready and it would be a shame for all these innocents to die so soon.....though it's not like they'll have much time left anyway..." Master held out his hand and touched the demon's statue and eyed the shrine. "Hmph....this place has changed from long ago....it has been damaged....finally I might find it's purpose." he said, touching the statue and walking away. "Master wait...what do you mean?" I asked. "Hm? The demon's are a strange kind....just when you think you know them and their capabilities.....another surprise unearths itself......you should find out the true tale of the White Fang....no one will tell his tale...even though.....they believed he was a god." he said staring up at the sky. "Master...." I walked up to him and he pointed up at the sky,"Look Merlon...the aurora borealis....I've waited so many years to see it....I can see why people are entranced by it's beauty....." I watched the colors dance across and through eachother....it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen " Instantly the shrine's indents began to glow the same color as the aurora. "The aurora of home and this world are so different.....At home it is the ultimate symbol of ice and winter's beauty but here......hm.....good luck Merlon, I hope to fight you soon...." I tried casting a freezing spell but Master was gone. "Wait!" I shouted to the air. Master was trying to warn me of something....I know he was....somewhere in there was the Master I knew......I walked back to the shrine and the moment I touched it the lights disappeared. I tried recalling Master's words. White Fang....that was the nickname Caliban's Father went by....this was something I knew no citizen or Cali for that matter would tell me...and I doubt Yael knew the whole story. But from what I'd heard from before...White Fang was a killer....But then again he was a wolf....there was so much I needed to find out. But I heard my sister's voice,"Come on Merli! The party is gunna start!" she called. I took one last glance at the shrine and it's mysterious statue before following my sister. Something was going wrong, I could tell...I knew it.

Finally finished! Ugh not how I hoped but I managed to skip boring parts. Next chaps are my favorites though....but they all kinda Cali centered but I promise you'll love them! Okies, see ya nextie time~
