what constitutes happiness. Is it being able to do what you want? Is it being able to say or wear what you want? Is it being able to go where you want with out questions or rules as to why? It may have something to fo with all of those, but i believe those tend to be a surface level answer to what happiness is. I could be wrong, and i am sure others will disagree, but i believe happiness is being confident in yourself enough to be content with your life. Think of the diversity out in the world. You have people living in bombed and 3rd world countries who are happier than people who have every comfort they can desire. Why is that? They have less than the other people, yet they are happier. The difference is that they are content with their life. They may want to advance their lifestyle, but they are content to remain in it till they have that opportunity. If people demean them for being poor, they look at them and say, actually believeing wholeheartedly in what their saying, that "so? I have food, clothes and shelter. what more do i need?" If they get more later, then that is wonderful, but they do not 'need' it like so many others.
So if this is true, why do people constantly look for things or people to make them happy? We have bred a world in which people are taught tolook for happiness through what they havem rather than on themselves. All you have to fo is have confidence and faith in yourself enough to realize that you don't need new items to make you what you dream. you just need yourself. And that is why this is one of the hardest things people will ever have to do in their life.
