4. ~~~Perfection~~~
Even perfection is not without mistakes...

Recently I've stopped laying on random rooftops and settled in on the highest one. From there I could always see everything. The sun rise and sink, the stars, the moon, the lightning and the raindropps.

Right now, the rain was what I was seeing. Heavy rain it was. Big dark raindropps hit the ground, as if they were bombs destined to scare people. I heard a few young girls scream and laugh as they ran from the rain. It was weird that their voice reached my ears. I was so high up...

I didn't get wet though. The rain went right through me, ignoring my presance. I didn't mind, afterall... if they didn't, I'd be soaking wet and lying in a puddle.

As some time passed, less and less raindropps fell. I felt as if I should go for a walk. Like the day before, my list mentioned no names.

I took my staff and jumped down. It took a while for me to reach the ground, but the falling part was slightly enjoyable. Once I landed I looked at both sides, thinking to wich direction I should go.
I decided to visit the lake, for I haven't been there for quite some time. I walked slowly, looking in to the shops through the windows. Everyone was having a peaceful day inside. Some were in cafes, some were trapped in cloathe stores, but they all seemed happy.

Once I reached the lake, I sat down next to it and saw the water. It was grey, dark and deep. Dirty from all the polution the city has provided it... but still.. some fish managed to live there, meaning it still wasn't as bad as it looked. The water's current was much faster than normal. Must be because of the rain...

"Help help!"

I heard a yell. A person was drowning. It was a young woman, trying to get out of the water the best she could. She shouldn't die, she wasn't on my list... but I remembered the woman. The mother of the little girl I saved. She died because of a nother death god. I looked around, seeing if he was around. If he won't come then I shall save her. That's what I felt was the best thing to do.

I flew to her as quickly as a bullet and brought her to shore. To her I must've seemed like a ghust of wind. The woman wasn't a child no more, so she couldn't see me...

"weak as always..." someone whispered. I gasped and turned around. No one was there, but when I turned back I saw a dark fighure holding the woman. The womans life energy was fading, he must've kissed her when I didn't look.

The tall fighure let the body drop and guided the soul downwards.

"So you're the one with the emotions huh?" he stepped closer and inspected me "What's with the wings? and the color? you look too pleasant..."

I frowned slightly "I'm leaving. We death gods have absolutely nothing to discuss with eachother. Adeu" I said as I was about to walk off. "Oh, so you don't know?" he smirked, crossing his arms in front of his chest. I felt that his big ego was swelling and that instantly got on my nerves "know what?" I asked turning back to him, but he was already gone. "... and to think I thought Death gods are more mature than that..." I whispered to myself and looked at the woman. Her body was already pale.

"Hey look! there's a woman laying there!" someone yelled "Is she alive?!" People started gathering. That was when I knew I should take my leave.

The sky cleared and the sun finally shined again, starting to dry all that was wet.

"Don't I know?... What don't I know?... I've been working for 900 years... I should know everything by now... shouldn't I?..." I pondered to myself as I headed up on the building, breaking any laws of phisics that humans made.

Once on the roof again I smiled and sighed. This roof was colorless, empty... but to me, it was my home now... I walked to the place I usually lay and looked around the empty space.

Something caught my gaze...

Something was laying a few feet away. What could it be? There's no way a trash could be thrown up THIS high... I walked up closer to it. It was a flower... a single one... a white one. It was strange... The flower didn't seem like it needed water... It didn't seem all that alive either... but it wasn't plastic...

Though I had no idea why it was here or where did it come from, I kept it. I felt a strange atraction to it. I placed the white flower on the side of my belt and then sat down. My eyes looked up at the blue sky as I wondered what happened today... what did the guy meant...

For 900 years I have exsisted peacefully, never asking myself or others any questions exept for when I wonder about my emotions... why did he have to appear and ruin everything... I am confused... maybe he was just playing with me...

From this day, my life as a death god will change...
