(the LOVER is in the BEDROOM writing a letter to the LOVED. reading aloud)

i'll get a new tattoo! what better to prove i'm over you than a pretty scar to scream "never hurt again?*

(the LOVER viciously scratches out whats's written and starts over)

THE LOVER
every time i fall into your eyes. you let me down

(the LOVER tears the page from the notebook and starts in on a clean sheet)

THE LOVER
i will burn myself alive is that will help me purge you from my mind. sinners burn a little brighter

(the LOVER starts crying and throws the notebook then exits)
