A string of the heart - Part 1- Lady Vanessa

PART ONE

Lady Vanessa smiled as she stared down at the garden. Her blood red eyes stared down at the many plants and trees which she had planted years before. Her eyes screamed one word: 'insane'. Though her fragile face remained calm her eyes told a different story.
Lady Vanessa placed a pale hand on the protective railing. The surface was cold and rather rusty. Ignoring the texture of the railing, she watched the gardener she had hired clip a bush-sculpture by the gate. Her death-starved eyes narrowed in on the gardener as a thin smirk appeared on her face.
'What do we have here...?' She whispered in a dull tone, running her fingers in a line on the railing. Her dark brown hair hung over her eyes, almost shadowing them away to the view of the public. She blew it away and silently walked back through the door to her room.
'Lady Vanessa, the book you requested has arrived.' A woman said rather nervously from the door. Her knees were shaking as she bowed.
'Tell them to shove it up their noses! I don't care! Leave it on the dining room table!' Vanessa said rather impatiently. The woman made a small squeaking noise and ran out of the room, 'Stupid commoners...' She uttered under her breath as she walked over towards the mirror.
'Little kitty, Little kitty, Little lost cat~' A silent voice sang from the jewelry-box on the mirror-table. Lady Vanessa placed in her long finger-nails on the box's lid and pushed it down, making a small bang sound echo through the room. Impatiently, Lady Vanessa paced backwards and forwards, a very unhappy look spread across her face.
'I'll never finish the stupid robot... Perhaps I should get to work...' Vanessa said, talking to nobody in particular, 'Why am I saying "Perhaps"? Of course I should..." Vanessa said out loud, walking into the next room over.
Laying against the table was what looked like a human body, without any arms. Its eyes closed, it just lay there, unmoving.
Lady Vanessa placed her hand on the figures forehead, huffing a little as she did.

Almost three hours later Lady Vanessa had given up on working. She had placed the arms on and positioned them firmly, but it wouldn't move.
'Perhaps zapping it with a stop-watch wouldn't hurt... If there is such a thing...' Lady Vanessa muttered. She stood up and placed her hand on the figures arm, pulling it. Almost instantly its eyes opened. Pale, and green, her eyes narrowed in on the woman. After a few seconds, it sat up and stared at her. With careful examination, one would discover it was not a he, but a she. A female puppet to obey Lady Vanessa's hardest requests.
'Well, I guess it does work...' Lady Vanessa said, tapping it on the forehead. It felt like ordinary skin, and looked like it too, except for the large black joins that were scattered over her body.
'Good evening.' Lady Vanessa said, giving a smile at the puppet-girl.
'Good evening?' It replied silently, unsure what the words exactly meant. The girl had a polite and gentle tone, yet it was strong and forceful at the same time.
'Do you have a name already chosen, girl?' Vanessa asked, sure she would not understand the simple question.
'No?' She replied, staring at the woman with liquid green eyes.
'Well, I do. Your name is Leif Yoshimoto, your twenty and three quarters, and your my most highly cherished servant. Do you understand?' Lady Vanessa said pacing backwards and forwards. She spoke in what seemed to be one entire breath.
"R-right." The puppet named Leif replied, carefully standing off the bench. Her legs shook as she took steps forward, examining everything around.
'You are not human, you are a puppet, and I, am your master, you must stay true to me, and me alone, until the day I die.' Lady Vanessa explained, crossing her long-sleeved arms over her chest.
'Of Course.' Leif replied in a dull tone. Lady Vanessa smirked evilly.
'You may call me Lady Vanessa, and nothing else.' Lady Vanessa said, following after the clumsy puppet. The puppet did nothing but nod silently as she walked over to the door. She stared down at the green garden, examining every part of it carefully.
'Do you like the garden?' Lady Vanessa asked, smirking at the girl without her noticing.
'I...Do...' Leif said silently, trying to find the correct words.
