I could have listened a little better
I should have watched a tad bit closer
I would have said those three words
But what happened with that?
I didn't want to hear
the goodbye
for the fact you didn't mean it
just a moment
a second more
the time
passed a little bit
just a little a bit
only one more second
half a minute
breath
in the solitude of what
wasn't there
So I feel like
as if I
asked to many
gotten so few
But you can't
know all that much
when there wasn't all
that knowledge that
wasn't half learned
Teachers never made much
sense
So the students
didn't learn
