The mountain felt like a giant death trap,wyverns from each direction, but somehow we pushed our way through. But as I fought so many thoughts burned through my mind. Thoughts of Master, thoughts of the group, thoughts of Merlow...and then...that. The one thing I had been putting off for so long. The thing that Master took to his grave and the thing that only Fira knows. It wrenched at my heart more than anything....it was the worst pain imaginable. Then I wondered to myself, is this what my real father felt as he knew I was being raised by Master? Because my heart ached the only songs I could sing were sad ones, but for some reason...those were my strongest ones. For a moment as I looked upon the surrounding group of wyverns I could see Fira's face. Her red hair and flaming eyes filled with nothing but hatred and anger. I wondered what would happen when I finally met her, or rather...what would I be able to do if I fought against her. She was a huge dragon about 20x my size, and I was doubting the fact that I'd win. "Merlon! Catch!" I heard Ordell say as he threw Asami who shot blast after magical blast into the air. I caught her and we were back-to-back. It seemed as many of the wretched beasts we'd kill....they'd return in greater numbers. Just then a thought occurred to me. "Everyone! Get near me quick!" I shouted. Within seconds the group surrounded me and with a single tap of Mooncica to the ground, the iced mountain floor below us collapsed.

The group collapsed onto a rock floating in the middle of boiling hot lava. Merlon awoke from his unconscious state and looked around,"s**t...Fira knows we're here....wake up!" he said to the group. Out of nowhere a huge magma covered warrior appeared before them. Just as the silent warrior was about to swing his flame red sword on the group sand had saved the group. The swordsman turned his head to see Yael's eyes glowing a golden red color. "Sand Spirit...." the warrior said, lifting his sword. Yael actually got on all fours and sprang up to the enemy, not even blinking. The two slashed at eachother with sword and sand, each blocking the other's move. "I've only seen Yael-kun fight a few times but...how did he get so good all of a sudden?" Shinto asked, glancing at Merlow who had her mouth wide open. "I-I-I....I don't know...." she said. "He was always like this...even now he stores his amazing powers...he does after all have the blood of a sand spirit pulsing through his veins....But to see one function so flawlessly, this...child knows what he's doing." Ordell commented. "Tch...you people underestimate Yael...his family was just as legendary as my Father...they say that each generation of sand spirit in that family surpassed the other by 1000 fold! But Yael...he is truly a master of his abilities." Caliban complemented. The fire-powered man growled and swung his sword again,"You are nay but a child...no...a monster! You should know that your abilities are impossible to control, so tell me...what are you fighting with them for? Your power is being wasted, and if you ask Lady Fira....surely she'd let you go into the new world. You could surely be a king!" Yael blasted the man away with a single punch. "No..." he whispered. "I have far too much to live for to just give up and join a witch...I love this planet, why would I just abandon it? My heart already lies with someone...I would never give it to anyone else." Yael closed his eyes and opened them to reveal golden, listless orbs. The very earth inside the volcano actually became attracted to him, only the rock the group had been standing on remained safe. The warrior pulled himself from the wall and began laughing maniacally,"Foolish child! It's apparent that you haven't been a spirit very long...You don't realize that once you become a spirit you become your element's very voice! And I...I am the voice of this very volcano!" he yelled. Suddenly the surrounding magma engulfed the group and Yael, nothing was left in it's wake. Five minutes later, just as the volcano spirit was about to return into it's magma a figure emerged from the lava. Though almost unrecognizable due to the fact of larger fangs, larger claws, and an overall more 'demon' quality, it was Yael. Without burning his hands the sand spirit grabbed the volcano's voice and threw him to the wall. "How? How are you still alive?" asked the creature. Yael pointed at the former location of the rock that held the group. Instead of a rock emerging from the fiery depths, instead it was a glass covered dome. "Eh?" "Glass.....sand turns to glass when it gets heated....it was the only thing that protected them...and me. I've grown bored of you." The spirit laughed,"Tell me...why is it a being like you fights for such lower class beings? You're so much more than them...you...you are a god! What on this planet is worth dying for?" Yael's new golden eyes flickered backward in Merlow's direction,"Because...because.....my heart belongs to someone....and that is more than enough for me..." Yael used the earth around the spirit to swallow it whole, within seconds Yael collapsed to the floor. Asami ran to the fox's side,"Yael...are you okay?" she asked. He weakly nodded,"Yea...I've just never used that much nor that kind of power before. It just hurts a little that's all. But anyway...we need to get going, we have a fight with Fira right?" The group nodded and ran deeper into the volcano. Finally the reached a room completely covered in lava, not a single rock to stand on. Caliban roared at the top of his lungs and finally Fira revealed herself. A mirror was floating infront of her as she put on her lipstick. "Hm....well....I'm surprised to see that you all actually made it....I knew that guard was useless....so, what's going on?" "What do you think witch? We're here to defeat you!" Merlow growled. Fira smacked her lips,"Of course love...but in all honesty, I have no need for any of you....the only pearl in this oyster...is that boy. The rest can go jump in the lava for all I care~" Merlow swung her large sword causing the lava to make a wave and 'drown' Fira. Of course she didn't even bat an eyelash. Her red dragon wings emerged from her back,"Ah human emotions...such wonderous things....very well, it appears that your brother is far to frightened to fight me...but since you cannot fight me...I'll give you a handicap." the dragon said, snapping her fingers. The scenery changed from a fiery volcano to a garden with the same icy spiked crystals that covered the mountain outside. "I've made a barrier....so since this is the puppet that Merlon chooses to vouch for him....no one else can fight me. Unless this one dies of course, so.....let's get this thing done eh?" Fira asked, crackling her fingers.

I knew...I knew that Fira was toying with me...She would eat my sister alive to prove that she wasn't kidding with her ideal. She was going to torture my twin sister. Merlow swung her sword at the witch who only needed to fly upward to dodge her attacks. "I can see it...I can see that desire in your eyes dear child.You want to kill me so badly....all to get revenge for that lovely boy behind you right?" she asked Merlow. Sister however didn't want anything to do with Fira's conversation so instead all she did was swing. "Me oh my~ Humans are such anger filled creatures....No matter how many generations I may live, I may never grow tired of them, they're always so interesting. You, that boy, and Mooncica have been my favorite so far though. Each filled with their own unique darkness.....their own fire~ It's enchanting really....I simply love it!" Fira laughed, using her claws to send my sister barreling into a fountain. Merlow's black hair draped across her face as she rose from the water,"I know your game witch...you've done this before. Going around speaking words of salvation when the only thing that spews from your mouth is a horrid poison!" I gasped, not believing what my sister was saying. "Hmph...truly wise beyond your words....but tell me brat, do you really think you can even scratch me?" she asked. The air around Merlow glowed a dark black color,"But of course witch...I promise you that by the end of it all....Your precious body will be torn into shreds!"

This story...it started with a dark young girl who only wanted to become the impossible, a god. She wanted ultimate control, so that is why she chose to become King. But along the way after discovering her twin...she grew lust towards him, so much she would kill for it. It was this fact and this fact alone that Fira could feed off of. "You say I spew out poison but you know in your heart that the only thing that comes from my mouth is the truth, why fight it? Is it because you do not wish for him to hear?" she whispered into Merlow's ear. The princess swung her sword and managed to cut the dragon. "SHUT UP!!!!" she yelled, things around her becoming lifeless. Fira looked at the princess and smiled as she snapped her fingers once again, this time causing the others to not be able to hear what the two were talking about. Fira grabbed Merlow and held her by the chin, an inch away from her face. "So...did you let that bond control you?" she whispered. Merlow's sapphire eyes flashed with pure hatred,"Don't touch me with those damned claws! My feelings are none of your business so stop asking about it!" she screamed. "Hush little one...I know how frightfully scared you must be....but you can't control the way you feel after all...it's apart of who you are. One of the most mystifying things of the universe is the bond between twins~ Instead of falling in love with their mother or father....the first people they usually fall in love with....is themselves. It's your nature to be with Merlon but so many things are getting in your way. Why don't you just eliminate them?" Fira asked. "W-Wait...you mean...I'm supposed to be with Merlon?" she asked. The dragoness petted the unsuspecting girl's cheek,"Oh child...you yourself know it, you can read eachothers thoughts....he chooses to ignore his feelings only because of this damned world...if you could get rid of it then surely he would love you." Tears began pouring down her face,"Truly?" "But of course...but in order to get to those annoying companions....you'll have to beat a little sense into Merlon, prove your love to him~ All you need to do is simply....defeat him~" With lifeless eyes Merlow nodded,"Yes...I'll do it...I'll prove it to Merlon and everyone on this piece of dirt...my Merlon....my brother....my heart....."

"Big brother...I love you..." she said to me. I ignored her but instead she pointed her sword at me,"In order to prove it to you...I must defeat you." she said. I blinked and looked at everyone who couldn't believe it either. "Merlow...are you insane? How in the hell will the solve anything?" "If I prove that I can defeat you and destroy everything that's been in my way from the very beginning....I know you'll realize it too....you'll finally acknowledge my feelings....I know it." she said, placing a hand over her chest. I looked behind my sister's body to see a toothy smirk from Fira. That witch didn't even need to fight me in order for my death....she was going to get my sister to do it. Face it kid....checkmate, I win I heard her whisper in the back of my mind. She may have brainwashed Merlow but that certainly didn't mean that I wouldn't fight her. If anything Fira just made it even easier on me~


Eh feels kind of dry I know but mostly just setting up for big awesome battles and stuff.....Anyway....gunna work hard to finish this soon so yea....
