"Muiko! Madane! Wait up!!" Mizumi Miru yelled at the brothers who were a good ways ahead of her.
They stopped and turned slightly to look back to see who had called them. Once they saw Mizumi, their eyes brighened instantly.
"Mizu-kun!" The eldest, Muiko, yelled.
"Hurry up, Mi-kun!" The youger brother yelled.
Mizumi caught up minutes later and almost crashed into Muiko. But moments before she did, Mizumi danced away and continued walking forward.
They continued walking for a few minutes, before conversation broke out.
"So... How do you think our year at school is gonna go?" Mizumi asked.
They both shrugged."Sort of easy and sort of hard."
"What do you think, Mizu-kun?" Muiko asked.
"I'm hoping more easy than hard. I do have to work. Every night now. I, now, have to go there after school, at 4:30, until 10:30pm on weekdays and from 3pm to 11pm on weekends." She said, sadly. "And the pays the same. 5dollars an hour..."
She sighed. "And I can't quit because I really need the money for the rent on the apartment I'm staying at. And even that's gone up from $550 a month to $750 a month...Life is gonna be hell this year if the stuff is hard."
She looked at them, only to realize they were staring at her.
"How many hours of sleep are you getting?" Madane asked.
"Hm? Oh."
"Well???"Muiko pushed.
"Enough. Don't worry about---"
Suddenly arms wrapped around her and there was a small Poof! as her human body disappeared and the clothes fell to the ground.
"--it." She finished in her fox-form.
"Miru-cha-an! I missed you!" Kato yelled and hugged a little tighter.
"Kato-kun! I'm gonna kill you when I get back to my regular form!"
"That's if you return." He held a mischevious smile.
"You can't hold on to me forever, Kato-kun." She stated.
"I don't have to. We can pass you off during breaks." He said, smiling his mischevious smile again.
"You wouldn't do that on the first day of school, would you?" Mizumi asked.
"Okay. I won't do it today, but tomorrow, I will." He sighed, then put her down.
Muiko, Madane, and Kato turned around as soon as there was a Poof! and waited.
Mizumi put on her clothes...again, then walked froward.
"I will get you, Kato-kun. One of these days..." Mizumi sighed. Then she smiled.
"Atleast you make me smile. So it won't be bad, when I get you."
"I'm glad!" He said, ahppily.
"Glad for what?" A voice said, right behind Mizumi.
Intead of jumping forward(like most), she jumped backward into the stranger's arms.
There was a small Poof! and Mizumi was a fox. She groaned and the man behind her chuckled. She looked up to find her last male friend and Kato's older borther, Kagami Mazu.
"God damn---" Before she could continue her rant, Kato's hand was wrapped around her muzzle. She struggled, but shortly saw why he had done that.
A group of 5 began to walk by.
There was one female and 4 males, but one of those males was wearing the girl's uniform. Mizumi tilted her head in confusion.
The female was wearing the traditional girl's uniform. She had big blue child-like eyes and brown hair that went just past the shoulder.
The one to her right was looking at Mizumi's group, frowning. He had such unnatural-looking orange hair. He had reddish-brown eyes that stared at Mizumi.
The one to her left was looking at the girl. He had grey hair. His head raised a little to look at the orange-headed one. He turned his head, slowing slightly, making everyone slowly stop, looking at him look at Mizumi. His purple eyes narrowed slightly, as if suspecting something.
The person in front of orange-head looked at Muiko, who happened to gether Mizumi's clothes. His hair was, also, strange and unnatural-looking--white on top and black on bottom. His grey eyes locked with Muiko's. He glanced downward to the clothes, and then away.
The shorter one to whie/black head's left had blonde hair and brown eyes. The expression in his eyes said he was happy.
The girl waved and started heading over.
The people behind her followed.
"Hi! I'm Tohru Honda! This," she motioned toward orange head, "is Kyo." She motioned toward purple eyes. "This is Yuki. The white-and-black haired behind them is Hatsuharu and the blonde is---" She was interupted.
"I'm Momiji!" He went next to Tohru and looked at the group in front of him.
"Their last name is Sohma and they are all cousins." Tohru said smiling.
Kato stayed behind his brother, not holding Mizumi's muzzle anymore, but was thinking, 'What the hell?! Why did she just walk right up to us?'
Kagami smiled. Mizumi was staying as still as a stuffed animal in his arms.
"I'm Kagami Mazu. The blockhead behind me is my little brother, Kato."
Kato went to protest, but got a smack in the head by Madane.
"The one to my right with shaggy light brown hair, who is also holding clothes and is one of my dear friends, is Muiko Kuzo. His little brother, with dark brown hair, is Madane. There are 2 others in our group, but are not with us, currently. If you should see anyone wearing the girl's uniform with the skirt knee-length and also wearing the boy's uniform pants, that is Mizumi Miru. She has shoulder-length auburn hair with white tips and big amber eyes. The other has pale green hair, chin-length, and big green eyes. Her name is Sophi Shizu." Kagami finished.
Tohru looked behind her. "Do you want to walk with us to school?"
Kato was about to say 'no way' but Kagami said, "Sure, but my little brother needed to take my sister's things to her." He motioned with his head to the clothes(which looked like just the girl's uniform- the pants are hidden) and the fox. "So he'll be leaving to go home while we go to school."
Kato brightened up. He grabbed the clothes and the fox/Mizumi. He ran quickly backwards.
After he was a good ways away, he put Mizumi down and waited a few minutes.
There was a Poof! and Kato put the clothes down and turned away.
Mizumi got dressed and sighed. A second later, she tapped his shoulder.
He turned around and smiled.
"Ready? They should be at the school by now..." He asked and Mizumi nodded,
"Lets run. If we don't, we might be late." Mizumi sighed.
He nodded and they began to run toward the school. Just as they got in the doors, the bell rang. They ran to their home room, which happened to be the same.
Everyone in their group skipped a grade, except for Kagami and Mizumi. So Sophi and Madane were freshmen and Kato and Muiko were juniors with Mizumi and Kagami.
Mizumi opened the door and walked, Kato right behind her.
"Nice of you two to join us."
"Gomenasai!" Mizumi said, bowing, and headed to her seat next to Kagami.
Kato sat behind her. Mizumi groaned, knowing Kato was going to bug her.
Muiko was to Mizumi's left and Kagami, right. In front of her was Tohru Honda. Her right held Yuki and left, Kyo.
Mizumi stared at the back of Kyo's head, wondering what made her stare at him.
Kyo turned to give Mizumi a scowl, but instead, put on a surprised look.
Muiko looked at her, frowned, then smacked her shoulder. She, startedly, looked at him, giving him a questioning look.
He mouthed, 'What was that about?'
She raised an eyebrow.
'You were giving him the 'death' glare you are so famous for.' He mouthed.
She kept her eyebrow raised, then tilted her head.
He nodded.
'I wonder why...' she wondered, turning her gaze to the front of the classroom. 'Could it be because his last name is Sohma? Is he related to Akito? No...He couldn't be. He might have a permanate scowl stuck on his face, but he has no aura of evil. Just one of misunderstanding. He just couldn't be related to a person that evil, could he? I'm sure it's just a coincidence.'
((a/n: Not yet finished... trust me. this is just the 9th page out of 20 for the first part/chapter. And you will get character profiles for Mizumi and her group...but first I need to get them back from a friend... Sorry ^///^ ~~Sphynxy))
