This is a random journal of something i wrote when i was six and bored!
Alone in the night he walked through the woods nothing but the shadows hit him. The moonlight shown through the trees and lit his path through the dark black woods. He stopped when he reached a lake that was made in the center of the path, it was much too large for him to go around it and too deep for him to walk through. Tired and weary he lied down to camp. The moon was directly over the lake when a noise awoke the man he sat up straight almost instantly. He couldn’t believe his eyes as in the center of the moon on the water arose a figure in a white gown that fell to her feet, under her came up roots from the trees lifting her higher and higher up. They stopped when the moonlight hit her face slowly her eyes began to open. As they opened the light shown on them with a glisten, then the girl with her hands to her chest began to sing. The song was a sad song the man wanted to get closer as he started to climb the tree roots. He could hear her voice getting louder and louder as he reached the top he saw the girl, her head hanged low and eyes filled with tears, she started to sing the song again as her eyes filled with more tears. The man slowly got on to the top of the roots and began walking toward her she didn’t seem to notice. As he reached her she continued singing he slowly bent down and touched her shoulder but the girl didn’t flinch or look over at the man but continued singing. The man asked her softly, “What are you doing up here?” the girl still in a daze turned and looked at him her soft eyes filled with sad tears she softly answered, “Looking for the one I love to set me free.” The tears began to stream down her rosy cheeks as the girl began to sing again. “Where is he, where is the one you love?” the man asked gently. “He left, he left me here to wait for him so I will till he returns I will wait here singing our song.” The girl smiled with tears streaming down her face even harder. The man gave her his hanky to wipe her tears away with. She gently took it and held it in her hands she then shoved her face into the center and began to cry. The man trying to calm her wrapped his arms around her and held her close, the girl stopped crying and handed the hanky to him. “Thank you, I must go now before the moon is off the lake or he will never find me.” The girl whispered softly. The man took the hanky and slid down the roots and waved good-bye to the girl as the roots began to go back down and swallowed her into the lake again.
