For The Fallen
The rose has wilted, the phoenix flown,
suddenly you’re all alone.
Plagued with solitude, wracked by despair,
no one left to say they care.
Day turns to night, light turns dark,
a broken heart’s an unchanged mark.
Your life grows dim, your sight starts to fade,
you regret the mistakes you’ve made.
Spirit takes flight, you start to fly,
then your senses touch the sky.
In the in end there’s little given, too much is lost,
and nobody stopped to count the cost.
To undo pain will take longer than many think.
