░░░ Huh. So last night I had a nightmare. That's not too odd, I usually have tons of scary dreams - but i'm never SCARED of them.
But this nightmare last night did scare me. That was new. It was an odd dream, too. Strangely, specifically detailed.
It was me and Jayce, in this bedroom of this kind of apartment-basement. We went in easy enough, but then somehow we were trapped. The whole building was empty, except for a friend of Jayce's, some random person who came and went everyday.
The phones didn't work, but if you picked up one while someone else in any other room of this apartment/building was on the phone as well, you could at least talk to them. Same function with ordinary house phones, y'know. So we could at least talk to Jayce's friend when he came to the house. We could hear the guy when he came in because the wood above our heads would creek, and I guess since it was an abandoned apartment/building, he was the only one it could have been. And, for some reason, only Jayce ever talked to him - not me.
Well there we were. Trapped in this bedroom, underground. Dark n' dank. But, oddly enough, there was a wrecking ball in our room. Why didn't we just start the damn thing up and break into a not-locked room? Hell if I know. The dream spanned over three days.
The first day Jayce told the friend we were trapped, he said he'd look into some way to get us out, then left. The second day, Jayce asked about that help, and the friend said he would bring some the next day. The third day, Jayce asked again, and the friend said no help was coming. That he got a promotion in his job and was moving to Florida. And i'm not sure what happened in the convo next, but he said "You two have eternity now! Plenty of time in that room. You're gonna die in there, y'know." And the friend got ready to leave.
Well, by this time Jayce was clearly weak from thirst/hunger. Near death and all that. But for some reason I was fine n' dandy. After the call was cut, I got pissed off and started up the wrecking ball, broke down the wall, ran upstairs and strangled the friend. "We're leaving this place, and YOU'RE going to die here, we'll be free." I said to the friend, along with a few other things while Jayce lingered down there. I'm not sure, but I got the distinct feeling that because of my choosing to go up and kill the friend instead of immediately carrying Jayce out, Jayce died. Too late n' such.
At this point I woke up. Y'know what woke me up? My hands were actually shaking-clinched. I didn't get to see the friend die. :'( I can't help but wonder what this dream was about... Like, if it meant something that's actually on my mind way down in there? Now that I wrote it down, I can't help but feel like the friend and me were the same person. In a sense. Which puts a whole different look on the whole thing... I'll have to think about this.
HI JAYCE!
