I could run away today,
And never again return.
No one would give a damn,
Because I am no concern.
I could slice apart my arms,
Until the blood ran dry.
No one would give a damn,
Because I'd no longer cry.
I could down every single bottle,
And hop inside that car.
No one would give a damn,
Because my life never did get far.
I could swallow every pill,
And never awake from sleep.
No one would give a damn,
Because I'd no longer make a peep.
I could finish making that noose,
And climb that 12-foot ladder.
No one would give a damn,
Because it wouldn't matter.
