If there's one thing i've learned being on gaia since 2003, it's that gaia is indeed more catered now towards 'the moment' and less about quality people like it was once before. more newbies appear and become n00bs, more regular members becoming too fargone in their own egos to care about others concerns beforehand... the list goes on and on.

As for getting stuff for your avi, there's a new thing you can do to help increase your wanting to be on gaia: Quest threads and maybe making your own guild.

Y'know, i just now look at your profile and realize you've got a mazda 3 and you enjoy tuning it and competing in shows. Take the inconveniences you're having right now and put your efforts towards your car. That's what I do and I can honestly and proudly say i'm a member of one (if not THE) top tuner teams in the nation. My car isn't up to their top-tier level, but i'm working on it and baring the hardships of regular life so that one day my car and i will be featured in a magazine and maybe get featured in a trade show like SEMA.

To get your items, why not do one of the three things people who get items quickly do? one is exchanging often, two is the quest thread i mentioned above, and three is avatar artwork or some trade where your afforts are handsomely rewarded.

I have a guild on tuning cars and i'm slowly trying to recruit new people (kinda difficult with everyone having the ricer mentality if you know what i mean) but seeing now that you're a mazda guy, i WANT you to stay, so that one day if you and i ever meet, I can joke with you about taking one of your trophies. =P

So why not stay? IMO you can't say there isn't much to do if you haven't done it all, so why not spend another month or so just trying out new things so you CAN leave with a bang? =D
