I'm really bored, and it's almost time for my dad to force me to go to bed, so I thought I'd just go back in history with my experience with Hurt. C:
I remember when I first heard Hurt two years ago (Dad played it in the car), and I only enjoyed, like... two songs of theirs. That was Falls Apart and Rapture. But back then, I was all about the catchy songs, never listening to the lyrics and stuff. And when I did decide to listen to the lyrics, it just made me turn my head, because I was just a prepubescent little girl who had no clue why people laughed at that coconut song in The Lion King (BOOBS ).
There was a period in time where I completely forgot about Hurt... I considered those the most boring months of my life (until today). And then my dad played it in the car again. o; I didn't care, though. I just shifted impatiently in my seat until it finally got to Rapture and Falls Apart. But after that day, that's when I started listening to Hurt... like I mean, really listening to it. It took me maybe a month to get used to their songs, and began enjoying everything about it. The lyrics, especially. crying Skipping forward in time, I remember sitting inside of my mom and dad's room, in the dark (The power was out, like always), and listening to House Carpenter, by Hurt. And then I started crying. I think it may have been just stress-related, and the song just triggered it, but yeahhh... Usually my crying lapses only last less than a minute, but that one lasted for a rather long time...
Anyway. Now, today, Hurt is my favorite band. C: I admire them so much, that I actually decided to make a journal entry about them. LOLOLOL. I love Hurt. ; A; I'd join Myspace just to know that I had the same URL address in my browse history as theirs. I love the lead singer's voice. I wish I were older so I could MARRY HIMMMM.
I find it kind of weird, too... I introduced Hurt to my friend... and she said that they sound like s**t. D:> Well, not that exact wording, but I know that that's what she was thinking. Ohwell. I could rant forever about them, but I don't think that anyone would want to read that much. ; D
Yes, that was a challenge. I'll rant more later. We'll see who actually gives a ********. cool -Thumbs up, wink, run into sunset, so on and so forth.-
