The Silver Lining of White Chocolate Clouds
This *makes a big waving motion at the page in general* is my 'journal' of sorts ^.^ I seem to be using it for thoughts and doodles... along with the occasional rant *nods*
Long but necessary (To write not really to read)
Wow... This has not been a pleasant week crying Zen and I broke it off, I had an adorable, sweet little Cat for a day then had to give it back, only to find her owners are pure evil and the cat runs away all the time crying (hopefully she'll get away again and we can harbor her <.< >.> wink I had to baby-sit the more evil pair of kids till late at night and all this in the middle of my whole family being stressed 'cuz we've hit a dry spot while we wait for things to be set in motion.. >.< *sighs and shakes her head* At least it's been raining.

From the top down, I'm not angry at Zen and I'm not going to 'badmouth' him, so I'm not going to explain everything, but he'd been all but gone since the end of July and I had a few more concerns so I finally sent him a pm asking for his side of the story and suggesting we should break up if all was as it seemed. When he got on, he sent one back saying he thought it was a good idea to break it off and giving the various reasons he'd been gone. So long and short of it, we're still gonna talk but we broke up... It was an oddly dry parting, maybe we'd both been thinking about it for awhile, I don't know.

As for the kitty, we found her the day after all the above stuff happened. She was sitting right in the middle of the road, didn't move an inch when the headlights hit her, or even when we got really close to turn and park. So when we got out, I coaxed her out of the road and after a little discussion, Cat picked her up and carried her inside.

We fed her, gave her a box to sleep in and petted the living daylights out of her ^.^ In return, she purred like there was no tomorrow, stayed within two feet of someone at all times and was just generally cute and fuzzy. (see pic at end of babble) At first Dad thought she had a hip problem because she walked oddly and didn't jump up on anything she couldn't put her front paws on first, but upon closer inspection it turned out she was pregnant.

The next day we started discussing what to do with her, couldn't keep her long term 'cuz the landlady has a no pets rule and second, my whole family is allergic to cats in the following order of decreasing bad-ness: Dad, Cat, me. xp Dad figured it was a neighbors cat, and we should ask around. So as he and I were going to buy some temporary cat food (we only had chicken to feed her.. which she didn't like whee didn't like milk either!) he started talking to a lady and asked her if she knew who's cat it was.

She knew, and told us she'd seen the cat out a lot, and that the woman who owned her treated the cat about the same as her kids, which wasn't saying much o.o;; then sent her husband to go tell them where the kitty was... A little girl came over and the kitty ran straight into the bushes when the girl called for her. (They call her Sam or Sammy) Then the girl tried to call her out, which didn't work, then tried to nab her --.-- that didn't work either and the poor kitty went running.

The girl went back to get her mom so I walked right over, let the kitty smell my hand and picked her up. She was fine with it till I started walking across the street and she heard the mom calling in the most fakey 'lovey-dovey' tone I have ever heard... I almost decided to get scratched and let the kitty run off again v.v but the mom had come out to meet me so I handed her over where upon the poor kitty got squished >.< That woman had no idea how to handle a cat! She was digging her claws in and squirming... The woman told us how much she'd 'missed' the kitty and that she'd 'cried, and cried and cryed' while smothering it.. suuuure, she needs better acting lessons.

I felt horrible for having given her back when I saw how the woman treated her and how the cat reacted... But since she's out and about a lot, we'll probably get a second chance to help her. It's a fine line between 'saving' a cat and 'stealing' one...

As for the kids.. All I can say is I dislike their mom almost as much as I regret having given the kitty back. When she leave, they're manageable, but just as soon as she comes back, they are devil spawn --.-- I honestly don't blame her for wanting to dump them off on babysitters as often as possible. Anyway, I guess it only gets to me when I'm flustered >.<

On a lighter note, I had a burrito that tasted like a tuna salad sandwich today o.O and don't worry, that's how it tasted from the moment it was created.
