Savannah sat in the front seat of her mother’s car. She was going to her friends’ funeral. Well actually their memorial service seeing how they were cremated. She wasn’t even there and her eyes were swollen. She looked down at her black mini skirt and black sweater set. She stared out the window the sky was dark and sad. Finally they reached the church where the memorial service was being held. Savannah saw familiar faces. A lot of her class mates came to speak to her they said things like. “You poor thing.”, “It’s alright they are better off.” , “I’m soo sorry.” or “ We hope your alright.” Savannah said thank you and took her seat in the front with her friends’ parents.

“Good morning,” Savannah managed to Trent’s mother. “Good morning. I know this will be hard on you. I mean I just lost a son. You lost a lot more,” she said hugging Savannah. “Thank you. I love you son and it’s sad to see him gone,” Savannah said then kept quiet.

The ceremony started, first they prayed then went though and said things about every single one of them. Some one read a poem called God’s Garden. GOD looked around his garden and found an empty place. HE, then looked upon the earth and saw your tired face. HE put his arms around you and lifted you to rest, GOD’s Garden must be beautiful. HE always picks the best. HE knew you were suffering, HE new you were in pain, HE knew you would never get well on earth again. HE saw the road was getting rough and the hills we hard to climb, so he closed your weary eyes and whispered ‘Peace be thine’. It broke our hearts to lose you. But you didn’t go alone, for part of us went with you the day that GOD called you home. ~By Unknown Author~. By then very ones’ faces were soaked with tears.

After the poem the perch took the nine jars from the steps and poured them into one beautiful black vase and gave it to Savannah. She cried. She didn’t want something that would haunt her whole life.
